Visited with my wife and son. Staff were friendly. My son and I had the Cuban and Medianoche sandwiches - they were both pretty standard for Cubano sandwiches. My wife ordered a salad but I had to ask about it because it wasn't brought to the table. After I asked about it, they admitted they forgot to make it. When they finally brought it, it was missing the eggs. When I asked about the eggs, I was told they were out of eggs. My son really liked the guava and cream cheese pastry. While I was disappointed over the salad, I would give them another chance as perhaps this was just an off day for them.

I was hoping for a restaurant vibe. It's more of an order here and sit wherever. Overall it was clean, the staff was friendly and the food was flavorful.

My favorite breakfast on the island. Amazing cuban coffee, perfect fried eggs, flat steak, salad and cuban bread as good as anywhere. Extensive pastries as well. Quick service with lots of indoor seating plus a couple outdoor tables.

I visited 1928 Cuban Bistro twice during my trip to Amelia Island, and it was a delightful experience both times. They offer a wide range of authentic Cuban items, which made it hard to choose! The yuca fries and tostones were incredibly fresh and paired perfectly with their flavorful sauce. I also tried the veggie empanadas with rice and beans, and they were packed with amazing flavor. The Cuban latte was a nice touch, and the sweet plantains had just the right balance of sweetness. Feee parking , ample sitting for dine in and very helpful staff.It’s a must-visit spot, especially for their snack items—highly recommended!

I want to extend a huge thank you to 1928 Cuban Bistro in Fernandina Beach for the excellent, professional, and top-notch service they provided to my family during a difficult time. From the moment we walked in, the service was awesome, the food was fresh, and the host was incredibly friendly.

The team was attentive, ensuring everything was perfect, and they took the time to build a rapport with us. We shared that we were evacuated from our home in West Florida due to Hurricane Milton, and their response was nothing short of heartwarming.

As we were leaving, the servers gave us a care package, just in case we needed anything. It’s refreshing to see that there are people and businesses like 1928 Cuban Bistro who genuinely care for others during challenging times.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for showing my family compassion in times of stress & uncertainty.

Great spot overall. It occasionally takes a while, so i advise coming in when you don't need to run anywhere. Coffee and pastries are fantastic!

Food here is ok, but the counter staff is lackluster at best. ordered something with one small change and got argued with because the kitchen guy made a face when he heard it. order then came out without my request... called another time to place an order for pickup and over a 30 minute period the phone went to voicemail every time ( we ordered from somewhere else ). We're done with this place, whoever manages it doesn't have a clue how to run a restaurant.

Great place excellent food. Walk up to the register and place your order for food and get a number your foods is brought to your table. Young lady cleaning tables was going around in slamming doors.... problems???
