“We went to Mason's in Fernandina Beach, Florida. The clerk taking our order explained what each lobster roll contained and how it was prepared. We ordered lobster rolls and my spouse ordered lobster bisque and I ordered the New England clam chowder. Being from New England, I was anxious to see if their chowder measured up to "real" New England clam chowder. It was as good as or better!! The lobster rolls were toasted perfectly and full of lobster-they didn't skimp. We ate on their porch - a nice spot to enjoy lunch and people watch. Wish they'd open a spot here in New England!”

We lived in Munich, Germany 3 yrs where we often had gulaschsuppe…never had any better than what I had right here. The meat was so tender and not a greasy soup. I will order it every time. And, btw, the beer is great!We’ll be back often when visiting Fernandina.”

“Stopped to here for dinner with family. Exceptionally friendly hostess who sat us almost immediately despite them being busy on a Saturday night. Nicely located in a cute little downtown area. Food was very good from an entrée standpoint. We ordered calamari was a lot more breading than actual calamari and was a little overdone. Other than that the chicken Parm entrée was outstanding, the shrimp and scallop Diablo was very good. Would absolutely come back here again. I would say the only true downside outside of the calamari is once we were seated. It took a little while for a server to come by and take any order. Still if you’re in the area don’t let that distract you from going. We will be back.”

“Sadly, Joe's 2nd Street Bistro is permanently closed as of January 1st 2024Service is always excellent at Joe's 2nd Street Bistro and food is delicious! Great place for Sunday lunch yesterday. They are carefully practicing social distancing even though it is too cold for their lovely outdoor seating. The courtyard is a treat in the summer - shaded with a tinkling fountain. House wines are nice and very fairly priced. Everything from big burgers to local shrimp entrees. Really a great place to relax and enjoy your meal.”

“Absolutely hands down one of our favorite restaurants on the island and the absolute BEST for steaks. Gordon is an absolute riot and Graving is phenomenal. You cannot go wrong requesting either as your server and Rachel, the manager is absolutely fantastic...and has an amazing jewelry business on the side. If you want a steak do not go to Baxter's unless you'd like poor service and rubber.... Bob's has a wonderful atmosphere, friendly, attentive staff that remember you and make you feel special (and in Gordon's case you get a free comedy show), and incredible food. I highly recommend the mushrooms as well. Bob's is our go to for fine dining and a fun lovely yet friendly intimate atmosphere. Make sure you take a moment to relax by the fire pits and enjoy the march/golf course views.”

We have had some less than awesome service the last couple of visits but we don't expect it to be the norm. Hours are limited so make sure that you double check to ensure they are open. This is hands down the best Brunch on the Island and unlimited mix and match Mimosas/Bloody Maries for only $10 makes it even better. We highly recommend this place and think you will love it. We Recommend the Shrimp and Grits or "The Hoss" but literally, everything on the menu is excellent.”

“We’re visiting from out of town & I’ve been a huge Taco Bell fan for years, so much so that friends & family give me Taco Bell gift cards for birthdays & Christmas. Every town I go to in the US, I always have to have Taco Bell & I will say this specific Taco Bell (023699) is probably one of the best in the country. I’ve been 3 times in 4 days. The first 2 times I went around 11pm - 12am & both times the food was on point. The refried beans weren’t all dried out like they tend to be, the ingredients were spread throughout the entire length of the burrito as opposed to all on one side. I thought maybe it was just the same person both nights making the food, but then we decided to stop & get it again on our way out of town today at around 12:30pm & it was the same! The way they fry the tortillas makes them super crunchy with a unique texture (I don't know how they do it) and they are out of this world! I had the number 1 comb, 1 chicken w/green sauce, one beef w/ red sauce. They come with Rice and Beans. The quality is outstanding! I could easily eat there every other day and never get burnt out on the food or the fellowship ? Sorry I didn't take any pictures...it smelled so good that I never even opened the container ?✌️Parking: They are located right on the side of the road. You can just pull off into the grass or gravel, easy peasy. If you pass it, just turn around at your safest convenience.”

When we asked about certain mixed drinks our engaging bartender Johnny explained the difference between a saloon and a bar. Basically a Saloon doesn't have all the ingredients for fancy drinks. “Adorrableee outdoor seating, with live music, and delicious food! The drunken cheesy bread is a *must* do, then I got the berry salad and it was exactly what I wanted, fresh and delicious! The tuna special that night was a 10/10 for my boyfriend. Also our server, (Jackie I think) was insanely sweet & efficient, really the best server we had on vacation there, so shoutout Jackie you’re killing it. Would love to go back!”

“We were the only ones at 130p. Guess th3 crowd was gone. We met the server at the bar, placed our drink and food order. Wings and Pizza. 10 minutes later she served us. Probably some of the best wings I have ever had. Great flavor, great presentation. I got the spicy ones, did I mention great flavor? Pepperoni Pizza was flavorful, little greasy, but nothing a napkin couldn't soak up. Can't wait to get back to the wings! Keep up the great flavors!”

“Here's another restaurant added to my favorite restaurant to go back to in downtown Amelia Island. Amazing view of water topped it off with a nice lunch and friendly crews. My husband had the shrimp po boy and I had the Buffalo shrimp salad, both are exquisitely tasty. I also tried the crab hush puppies- I tasted a touch of crab in it but I was expecting more of crabs. But overall, I liked what ww ordered. The nice view and tasty food made it very easy for me to rate it 5 star. With an appetizer (crab grit au gratin) and 2 meals plus 3 drinks totalled $97 without tip.”

“We visited here twice during our stay on the island. As my 7 year old said when asked if she liked the food, it was amazing. We had the privilege of meeting the owner who couldn’t have been nicer. This is Cuban food with a modern twist. All very good and fresh. We will make this a regular stop when we visit.”
