Visited with my wife and son. Staff were friendly. My son and I had the Cuban and Medianoche sandwiches - they were both pretty standard for Cubano sandwiches. My wife ordered a salad but I had to ask about it because it wasn't brought to the table. After I asked about it, they admitted they forgot to make it. When they finally brought it, it was missing the eggs. When I asked about the eggs, I was told they were out of eggs. My son really liked the guava and cream cheese...

My favorite breakfast on the island. Amazing cuban coffee, perfect fried eggs, flat steak, salad and cuban bread as good as anywhere. Extensive pastries as well. Quick service with lots of indoor seating plus a couple outdoor tables.

I visited 1928 Cuban Bistro twice during my trip to Amelia Island, and it was a delightful experience both times. They offer a wide range of authentic Cuban items, which made it hard to choose! The yuca fries and tostones were incredibly fresh and paired perfectly with their flavorful sauce. I also tried the veggie empanadas with rice and beans, and they were packed with amazing flavor. The Cuban latte was a nice touch, and the sweet plantains had just the right balance of sweetness....
