Outstanding service! We had the pork chop and spare ribs.. both were amazing. Desserts were also really good... chocolate souffle was the winner!

Every time I come here the food never disappoints and exceeds all expectations! Had the lamb chop special and it turned out to be among the best that I have ever eaten! The hostess/waiters were outstanding! If you are looking for an amazing meal and laid back surroundings... 29 South Eats is the place for you!

I come to Fernandina Beach 3 nights a month and this place has always been great, one of my favorites. Lately, they never want to give me a table even though their empty. I always travel for work alone and eat alone, but I always spend a lot of money for dinner. After being told by Kathy the hostess there were no tables available I went and ate at another restaurant that was great. Walking back to my Hotel I walked back past the restaurant, it was still empty. You lost my Business.....

Comfortable setting, Yummy food. My sister suggested eating here and she has written a food blog in the past, so I knew it was going to be good; and it was! There were 3 people in our party we all ordered different meals and we were more than satisfied. Service was friendly and effecient.

Been here several times. Menu is unique. Food is always good. Prices are high and portions can be small. Restaurant is small and seating can seem cramped. May need a reservation to get in.

Went Saturday night 2/22/2020, ordered the pulled pork spring rolls, they were over fried and too hot to eat for about 5 minuets. Ordered the free range fried chicken, also way too hot to eat right away and too much breading that was way over deep fried and very little meat after I pulled off all the breading, what was there was over cooked and dried out. I suggest you check your drier temps and length of time you keep the food in the frier. Based on my experience it’s two times I’ve been there, first time and last. Comfort food is simple, don’t make it hard. Was hoping based on reviews read I would have had a better experience, the breading left on the plate should have clued the server in that it wasn’t a good plate of food. While finishing up the meal the staff was more interested in cleaning up and getting ready to close then ensuring we enjoyed our experience.

My husband and I had dinner here this past week. Our service was great, The food was ok. My husband had shrimp and grits, he said the shrimp didn’t taste fresh, he ate very little of his meal. I had a shrimp pasta dish, it was good, but not $28 good. The desserts were fair at best.

Great venue, great food, great service. Table for six and everyone loved their meal. If they only had espresso but the regular coffee was fine.

Creative twists on southern comfort food. Casual atmosphere, quality dining. The smoke mussels and pork chop might have been the best I've ever tasted.

This place was good 2 years ago but something has changed because the service and food were poor when we visited this weekend. I do not recommend this place.

I ordered the scallops and it was so amazing!!! Loved every bit of it. And my boyfriend was obsessed with the fingerling potatoes. Would highly recommend going for a date night and sitting out the patio.

Cute little restaurant in town . Loved the farm to table food ! We both had the pulled pork Cobb salad. Very fresh with fried green tomatoes , deviled egg and other goodies! We will be back to explore the menu! Great service!

We had been wanting to try 29 South since we moved here, and we finally did. What a delicious surprise. I love that they have Springer Mountain Chicken on the menu, I ordered the Springer Mountain Fried Chicken with Naked Bee Honey and Cracked Pepper on Smashed Potatoes, so superb and even better the next day (it's a lot of food so we got a to-go box!). My husband had the Barbecued Pork Cobb Salad and he loved it. The lady who worked at the front of the restaurant also was our waitress, and she was so sweet and helpful. The atmosphere is laid back and easygoing. We will be back!
