I love this place! Food is yummy and staff friendly and attentive. On my most recent visit, the mandu dumplings were perfectly crisp and flavorful. Not only was the bulgogi (beef) bibimbap presentation fantastic, it was equally delicious. I frequent this local island establishment often with friends who, like myself, lived in Korea in the 1990s. Area 51 really brings back the memories of great Korean food.

The food was really good. We ordered beef bulgogi, spicy bulgogi, and tonkatsu, and everything tasted fresh and cooked perfectly. I've been searching for a good Korean BBQ place, and I'm happy to say I found one.

Horrible food, not even close to authentic Bulgogi. You know you're in trouble when customer has to explain how it's cooked.

I can't speak highly enough of my experience at Area 51! First off, the service was ON POINT! Literally waited 90 seconds to seat a table of 7. Drinks (including alcohol) came almost immediately after ordering. The food?? So. Delicious. With the 7 of us there, not one person said a single negative thing about the food. Instead, we kept talking about how amazing it was. We all shared and tried each others' meals, and I can honestly say that was the best, most authentic Korean BBQ ever. Oh, and do yourself a favor, and try the ube (purple yam) mochi. It's like heaven! 10/10 recommend!!

I brought my dog to eat with me as i have in the past. the back area where dogs are allowed was closed so I turned to leave. The waitress said to just sit in the dining room. I asked three times if that was allowed and she said yes. I ordered and when the food was delivered the owner said since my dog was not a service dog I couldn't eat in the dining room. she wanted me to go outside in the hot sun in the weed infested back area to eat. Very poor communication and service. With the price of food; it's very expensive, and the lack of gracious service I won't be back.

I have had the kimchi ramyeon, the kimchi fried rice, the hearty dumpling soup, and the beef bulgogi, and can tell y'all everytime I've gone here, the food and customer service are always excellent! I will never ever grow tired of eating here!!

What a great experience. After having a poor experience at the bao restaurant down the street, I was disheartened. But this restaurant was really great, from the wings to the bento, 5 stars! And the food all reheated well too!

Excellent food — both traditional Korean dishes and more modern twists from a great chef also responsible for 4th Street Deli. Expect spice and lots of flavor. Always pleasant service.

Food was great, super fresh and served hot! I was just disappointed at the lack of spice and seasonings... Korean food, (especially kimchi) should be super flavorful and packed with a punch of heat. We even asked for extra chili sauce/paste/oil and what we were given was more sweet than spicy. Still very delicious, just not what I expected! They are also understaffed, and it showed.

I was so excited when my food came out that i forgot to take pictures ?The wait staff was very friendly and polite. The menu has a nice selection, a little of everything youd really want.My food was delicious and my moms food was really yummy too.Ill have to come back and get some mochi next time since i was too full today. I recommend!!

Parking: Best parking access from the side street rather than pulling in the driveway since the parking spaces are angled in the opposite direction.

Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking with direct access to front door as there are no stairs or incline to get inside. Door is at ground level.
