Had a base coat at the bar - wonderful bartender and great craft cocktails. Our resos were set for 6:30 - but there was plenty of room and we didn't sit because of the base coat at the bar until about 7 PM of our own choosing. Once we got to the host stand and sat - apparently they never either assigned a waiter / waitress or whoever was assigned didn't know we sat. A solid 20 minutes (or more) passed before anyone appeared at our table. Brie eventually got the lucky assignment and apologized and got to work quickly taking our drink order and sharing the specials and the preparations. The food and the plating are top notch and overcame the slow start. Point is - it's a high end joint and you expect better. Not a wash out by any means - but kind of ended our vacation with a thud versus a wow.
The entire experience was delicious! Definitely recommend the outside seating if available.
We had a marvelous dinner. Our server was excellent and the food delicious. Especially the petite filets with lobster tail!
You will not be disappointed with anything about this restaurant! The filet was incredible, the service impeccable! It's absolutely worth the price!
Solid wedge salad. Great steaks. Skillet fried potatoes with sautéed onions and peppercorn gravy are the move as your starch choice. And the glazed carrot will be the best you've ever had.
The prices are up considerably since the first of the year. There are fewer bottles of wine priced under $100. Since it is near the convention, there were several tables of 10 to 20 people, so it was fairly loud. The food is always excellent, but it comes at a price.
As always Bob's does not disappoint! Food was delicious both the aged prime ribeye and my wife's salmon were cooked to perfection! The blue cheese salad is a must get and the Onion Rings are the best I have ever had! Robert our server was attentive and courteous and checked in on us throughout the evening. Looking forward to our next visit to Bobs!
Beware of those pesky caterpillars if you are sitting outside. Otherwise a great place to dine.
Our server was very good, but the length of time to get a cocktail and between courses was very long. We had an early reservation when the room was only partially filled so didn't understand the long wait times. Usual steakhouse atmosphere but too dimly lit. Bring your phone's flashlight to read the menu. Very good food but not exceptional. Overall, Bob's doesn't live up to its hype.
Not about the food but the service! My wife and I traveled to Jacksonville for the Ga/Fl game and stayed at the Omni Amelia Island. After reviewing the menu and options we decided on Bob’s Steak and Chop House.
Our experience: Our server Gordon was excellent, quick witted and entertaining. Dinner started normal with drinks and appetizers. While we were ordering dinner I noticed my wife just did not look well out of nowhere. I ask Gordon to give us a minute. Things did not improve, actually they turned worse very quickly. Gordon was quick to realize what was happening and shortly after Patrick came to our table and introduced himself. While we tried to decide what to do Gordon packed water and bread. He and Patrick walked out with me to assist if needed and Gordon refused to leave until the shuttle arrived.
Fortunately, my wife is fine now but I just couldn’t let the opportunity pass without saying how much I appreciate this restaurant and the team there that night. I hope I get the chance to revisit and thank you in person. Customer care at its finest.

This place is absolutely amazing because they serve 100% prime meat. They also have wagyu options. It is dimly lit and quiet just the way we like it.

For me, a disappointing experience. I. dined alone in the bar at a table. The service was super slow. But it was the food that was so bad, I just paid and left. I got spinach with mushrooms and a shrimp cocktail. The spinach was so drenched and soaked in oil I couldn't eat it. Sort of got that to be heathy. The shrimp came laying on a plate each smothered in their spicy cocktail sauce. No option to put my shrimp in a sauce to get the amount I wanted. Like every other shrimp cocktail in the world. I paid my $75 and left. Very casual type place too. ,you don't have to dress up. I did have the blue cheese wedge salad and that was good.
