It should be rated higher than it is! The food and service was as good if not better than some of the higher rated places. The view is one of the best on the island. We will definitely be back!

For years, whenever we're in St. Augustine, we drive to Fernandina Beach and go to the Waterfront Restaurant. Unfortunately, the service is becoming increasingly poor. The day before yesterday, for example, we were served the main course with the starter we ordered and they couldn't understand why we complained about this. The fish from the main course, which seemed to have been put in a heat protection, was dry. There are a lot of things to complain about, for example that you have to order a glass of bottled mineral water and that you are already presented with the bill even though you would like to order a dessert. A high-priced wine, a good selection of wines, was not served appropriately, the catering staff simply lacked the competence and needed to be trained.
The atmosphere at the harbor is very nice and inviting.

Ordered the Chicken and Brie salad - it is been a while since I have been to Bretts but it’s something I have had in the past and enjoyed but this time it was disappointing. The only Brie found in my salad was the rinds from the Brie. Almost wondered if I got scraps. Really have no plans to return after this experience. For $21 the salad should have had some actual identifiable Brie in it. On the plus side our waiter was pleasant and attentive.

Tasty dishes. Soda machine not working, so no soft drinks. How does that happen?
It appeared a dishwasher or someone came by and scooped ice into a cup at the service desk, that was in our plain view. Didn't seem right. And later I saw a waiter pick up a knife and try to clean it, before placing it on a customer's table. That didn't look right either.
But, we've eaten there several times, and otherwise the food tastes good. Calamari and Burbon pasta.

This place was amazing!!! Food was a 10/10. Hubby had the fish tacos and I had the shrimp Po Boy. Everything was seasoned perfectly.

Such a wonderful meal and dining experience on the patio. The Waterview was beautiful and we were able to take our pup which they immediately brought a bowl of ice water for him and they had very unique lunch options which we both thoroughly enjoyed.

This was our first time eating here. We wanted a nice supper. My husbands and my meal looked like something you would microwave out of the freezer section!! He got a a new york strip, which looked nothing like a new york strip and it was very tuff! I got fish, which was over a rice palette, with a whole 3 shrimp with it. It was horrible! The best part of the meal was the fries and water! This cost us $160 with tip! It may be a different experience for lunch, but supper was not worth the cost by any means!! Don't do it!!

This is absolutely the best restaurant to eat in! Everything on the menu is delicious! And the service can’t be beat. We love sitting at the bar , enjoying the view and the bartenders couldn’t be beat! Enjoy. Fabulous!

Quick and helpful welcome. Sluggish service and tasteless dishes. The totally excited waitress did not try to understand our dissatisfaction... In short, I advise you to go elsewhere, there is no shortage of restaurants in Fernandina.
