Here's another restaurant added to my favorite restaurant to go back to in downtown Amelia Island. Amazing view of water topped it off with a nice lunch and friendly crews. My husband had the shrimp po boy and I had the Buffalo shrimp salad, both are exquisitely tasty. I also tried the crab hush puppies- I tasted a touch of crab in it but I was expecting more of crabs. But overall, I liked what ww ordered. The nice view and tasty food made it very easy for me to rate it 5 star. With an appetizer (crab grit au gratin) and 2 meals plus 3 drinks totalled $97 without tip.

Food was good. Service excellent. Water views outstanding! However, I think the place can use a makeover. Seating and flooring was on the sticky side and the place had a smell of old grease. Otherwise, it's in a prime location on the waterfront.

Service and atmosphere was great. Food was not! Po'boy oysters were very soggy, with almost zero remoulade and inexplicably buried in shredded iceberg lettuce. Tiny tiny cup of slaw, and pretty tasteless chips, all for $25. Insane.Server was fast, kind, responsive and overall wonderful. It's also a lovely view, but Salty Pelican has the same view with way better food.

I seen this place beautiful views, atmosphere and service was great! Food , I was expecting like fine dining and there wasn't a lot of seafood to choose from. Food tasted good, It didn't meet my expectations. Yes I would go back.

Not our favorite place on the Island. Food was bland and didn’t have much flavor.

What we worried would be a 1-star experience was saved by an amazing manager and waitress! We were seated outside and had an awful experience due to one waiter. I won’t elaborate, but we decided to leave before our food was brought out. After speaking to the manager, Jennifer, we were seated inside the restaurant in Madison’s section. Jennifer listened to our concerns and promised to make it right. With Madison, she lived up to her promise. We had an amazing experience with great food and wonderful service. It’s great to eat at a restaurant where management actually cares about their diners’ experiences!I’d recommend this restaurant to anyone for the food, ambience, and service.

We waited 40 minutes and then they called to tell us they wouldn’t be able to seat us!After putting in our name and waiting for 40 minutes, Brett’s called us to cancel because it would be past 8pm before they could seat our party and they would not sit past this time. This is TERRIBLE front house management and customer services. If you allow a customer to put in their name, you should honor seating them, ESPECIALLY when you are giving long wait times. We are multi-visits per year to AI and I can’t imagine going back to Brett’s any time soon due to their poor service and management.

Not a good experience. My wife and I ordered salmon with rosemary - but there was no rosemary or any other seasoning we could detect. Portions were marginal and the fish was literally tasteless. It came with rice pilaf, vegetables and bernais sauce. The rice pilaf was good but the vegetables were basically raw. The bernais was also flavorless. Our waiter did little to check on our meal and was nice but not at all attentive. Way overpriced given the poor quality. I seldom write negative reviews but I could not let this pass.

It is a local favorite and one of the area's best-view restaurants by the water. The food is delicious, with colossal salad portions, and the drinks are spot on. It is a good stop while in the district.

Definitely a coastal spot! Right on the water, we got to catch a beautiful sunset! It was something worth seeing.I started the order off with fried calamari. It wasn't the best, a good amount of them were empty. Idk if $16 is a good price tag for that dish. My main was the prime rib, at $4. It came with mashed potatoes and veggies(broccoli and carrots) sadly the veggies were cold. It didn't bother me too much. The mashed potatoes were spot on and the prime rib was great. Cooked to temp. The server was great, I think his name was Gabe. He had a big heart and seemed content with the 13 of us. And we split the check. Which I apologized to him many times about. Being in the industry I understand how that can be frustrating. But he was a champ.Overall I'd give Brett's a 7.5/10. Would go back. But wouldn't be my first choice.
