Our waitress Britney and the 2 servers were friendly and knowledgeable. We come to this restaurant every time we're in Amelia Island .,
Cucina South is excellent! Chef Leo creates true Italian cuisine that consistently exceeds expectations!
Overall a great place for a nice quiet dining experience, I will say though, an Italian restaurant with no espresso drinks is a bit strange, also there is no full bar, beer and wine only, but, I definitely recommend and will return!
There were 5 of us dining and we all enjoyed our selections! Excellent! Chef Lou will not disappoint — he came out to introduce himself and make sure we were happy with our meals. We will definitely come back when we are in the area again.
We have been often but it is rarely consistent. The pasta was just ok. The wine was good. I didn't get salad starter or bread. Overall a little disappointing
Girls night dinner here- we loved it! Had a great experience, and everything we ate was delicious.
We had a great experience at Cucina South this week, after having been craving a good Italian meal for a while. We arrived early for our reservation but were greeted pleasantly by multiple staff in the area and were seated right away. Our party of three were upstairs, which was fine - it is conducive to conversation. The downstairs area was busy, though not crowded - it did not appear to be overly noisy, but upstairs worked for us. There was a nice bar area, and some outside seating which I am sure is put to good use in warmer weather. The whipped ricotta with honey and pistachios was a great starter to our meal - easily shared by three. The veal parmigiana had a plentiful, well-seasoned potion of veal, The capellini marinara with meatballs came with three good sized meatballs. The marinara sauce used in both dishes was flavorful, quite good! Zuppa de Mare was a hit - it contained lobster tail, mussels, shrimp and scallops. This was served over a thicker pasta with a nice broth. We shared the tiramisu for dessert - that was light and delicious. In all, we were quite satisfied with our meals and with the service, which was attentive without being intrusive. A shared bottle of wine, appetizer, 3 meals and a shared dessert ran $180.
Good Italian food. Fried ravioli and chicken Marsala was very good. Service was very good.
Always a great experience. Great food, and friendly service. Quiet environment where you can have a good conversation.
Their Carbonara makes you feel like you've teleported to Italy. I have eaten that dish 10+ times the last year. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Consistently great! Adding cocktails option in addition to the wine and beer offered would be ideal. 2 in our party are not wine or beer drinkers.
The server was wonderful, chef brought us our food. The meatballs were perfect! The pasta was great as well.
You have to try this gem! The location is set among the Spanish moss trees on Ameila Island. The dining room is romantic which was great because hubby and I were having date night. Benji was our server and he was extremely helpful and knowledgeable of the menu & wines. He made some suggestions which we absolutely LOVED! White wine mussels, Carbonara with shrimp, the spicy pasta (the name sounds like devil and it is spicy but not overwhelming). We had a bottle of the Malbec and was delicious! Everything was fantastic! Thank you and we will be back!
First time & will become a regular in our restaurant rotation. Very impressive welcome, service, & an outstanding culinary performance.
Service was great. Food is vastly overrated. There were 6 in our party and this review reflects all 6. Burr at a was quite good. Entrees were not. Veal Piccatta was dry and not very flavorful. Veal Marsala was terrible. Ratings for this restaurant are very overrated. The fact that the restaurant was almost empty verified it.
