What a wonderful discovery! Holy Grounds owners and staff are always welcoming and friendly, their coffee fresh, and their food delicious. Live music on certain nights is the icing on the cake! ...did we mention that their beer vendor is a local Veteran-owned brewery? Very cool!

Super friendly baristas, very comfortable atmosphere. So glad we found it.
We were in the area celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and visited many restaurants, cafes, and shops while in Fernandina/Amelia Island. Holy Grounds was our very favorite! We had to visit one more time on our way out of town heading back home! We hope to return again!❤️

As a life-long student of business and someone who’s always looking for standout examples to share in my presentations, I was thrilled to come across Holy Grounds Coffee House. This is a space that was clearly crafted with intention, a welcoming environment built for everything from working professionals to retired locals to younger guests looking for a comfortable spot.
That kind of balance is no accident — it comes from a business that’s well run. You can see it in the smooth service, the inviting atmosphere, and the consistent quality of both the coffee and the food.
For guests, that attention to detail makes the experience above average and absolutely worthwhile. Holy Grounds isn’t just another coffee shop; it’s a place you’ll look forward to returning to. I would highly recommend this local coffee house.

I want this critique to be, above all, accurate and holistic. While I appreciate the cleanliness of the facility and find their black coffee quite good, I was genuinely shocked by the way the owner treated me. I’ve been trained in hospitality by the Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island and have owned my own commercial cleaning business, so I do not make this judgment lightly: this woman should not be in a leadership position. From the very beginning, she approached me with hostility. Despite my calm demeanor and polite compliance, she corrected my speech by saying, “Please,” as if I were the one impolite. She should have been more worried about the plank in her own eye. Let me share how she began our interaction. While I was working on my laptop, quietly waiting for a meeting I had scheduled later in the day on Island, she abruptly said, “I need you to grab your stuff and get out.” I have no issue with being asked to leave; it’s her right. What I take issue with is the manner in which she addressed me—and, I assume, others in her establishment. Great service can redeem average food, but great food cannot redeem horrible service. In this case, the service—modeled by the owner herself—was unacceptable. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Holy Grounds is Wonderful! Great Atmosphere... really good coffee & lots of yummy lattes + some great menu items as well! Sue Ellen is the sweetest & most welcoming person around...& her staff are very friendly & helpful! We absolutely love it here! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I recently visited this coffee shop, and I was beyond impressed! The atmosphere is absolutely amazing—peaceful, cozy, and perfect for focusing or simply relaxing. It’s wonderfully quiet, making it an ideal spot to work remotely without distractions.
The highlight of my visit was meeting the owners, who happened to be there during my time. They were incredibly kind and welcoming, making me feel like more than just a customer. Their passion for the space and the coffee they serve was truly inspiring.
And speaking of coffee—it was phenomenal! Every sip was rich and perfectly brewed, a testament to the quality they offer. This place is a hidden gem for coffee lovers and remote workers alike. Highly recommend!
