Island Bar BQ Fernandina

We had a party of 7 that stopped in for the lunch buffet during a day trip up to Fernandina from Jacksonville. Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to try the food since the political signage in the restaurant was too tacky and judgemental. Since there are plenty of well reviewed restaurants in the immediate area, we took our business to a place less divisive.

I feel like a found a hidden gem finding this place! Highly recommend.

Only been here once. The food was a lot better than I expected. If you just want good food your in luck. If you want a a 4 star atmosphere this is not your place. Come hungry and leave full ant that's it. I will go again.

I was told by a few locals this was the place to be for lunch. and they was telling the absolute truth this place has the best food I’ve had in a long time. Chicken was perfect country fried steak was good. All the vegetables were seasoned to taste macaroni and cheese, chicken and rice banana pudding homemade hot peppers. The list goes on and on absolute best place I’ve had in a long time. I’ve also shared on north east Florida eats and treats on Facebook. Come on and join. Best food on the island! Just wish they’d stay open through dinner and later on Saturday.

The food here was fantastic! They have a very relaxed mom and pop kind of atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Good Ole home town cooking with a wide variety of country favorites that are all done to perfection, Mike and Kim put out such a spread of food for prices you cannot pass and I guarantee you won't go home hungry.

Everything (ribs, pork, turkey) is covered in pickles and swimming in mustard sauce. I like neither. What happened to bbq being about the process and not overshadowed by sauce. One and done for me.
