Love their pizza, but dear lord, waited 25 minutes past the time when our take out was to be ready. Sat by the front counter. When I finally asked, was just told, maybe you didn’t hear the name. When I said No, that wasn’t it, was told that since we paid earlier, and the cashier didn’t mark it, that was the problem. Poor system. The customer is not the issue here.
Pizza is OK, total was $115 for 3 pizzas and 2 salads for carryout. Of note, the prices on their website are inaccurate and expect to pay 15-30% more for everything (salad posted as $10 but actually $13, pizza listed as $25 but actually $30, etc).
Ordered a white pizza, and ended up with something covered in sausage, onions, and black olives. Not a meat eater. I didn’t realize until I got home after a long day of work. Partially my fault for not checking before leaving. Very glad I spent $68 on two pizzas from here.
Kids got their pizza and we’re finished and my wive and I had not gotten ours yet. Waitress brought out out box for kids left overs. Finally after some time I went to check on our pizza. Found out they had left in oven and it was burnt. Offered us free drinks while we waited. Pizza finally arrived but was a medium when we had paid for a large. Owner was extremely rude gave us money back for pizza took our drinks and food and told us to leave or she would call police. The commotion was upsetting our grand kids or we would have stayed for the police. Never in my 71 years have I experienced anything like this. They asked if we were from Amelia Isand so apparently the don’t cater to vacationers. Avoid this place like the plague.
Love the food, people, and place.
My favorite pizza/salad on the island
I went there with my daughter and grandson on the advice that it’s been a while since they’ve been there and the food is really good however, I ordered a ham and cheese calzone which I found to be so so most definitely had better. However, my wife had ordered a pizza which I had leftovers the following day and it actually tasted pretty good reheated, so with that being said I would say that the calzones aren’t good and the pizzas are better than average.
Great pizza and salads. Affordable and delicious 😋
Great crust, the Rex was great toppings
Thin but large piece. A couple things wanted specifically, couldn't accommodate

Best pizza in town
We ordered 4 pizzas from here while on vacation and it was delicious! Unfortunately somehow 1 was ruined by the time that we made it from the restaurant to the beach (15 minute drive) we sat down and opened all of our pizzas up and the cheese from the cheese pizza was all melted to the top of the box. I’m not entirely sure how that happened but, the other 3 were amazing! This hiccup won’t stop us from giving them another try the next time that we’re here.
Disappointed. Drove over to place a quick to go order more than 10 minutes before they were scheduled to close and their door was locked with people inside.
The absolute best pizza without a doubt. We are from New York and moved to Fernandina 7 years ago and Moon River is definitely the best around here and beats some New York pizza places as well. The staff is always amazing and the atmosphere is perfect for a pizza place.
The pizza here is always excellent, no matter your choice!
