Really enjoyed this restaurant white visiting Amelia Island. Would have given 5 stars if they hadn't brought me burnt toast. Shrimp and grits had nice big shrimp. The husband got the lumberjack breakfast and raved about the sausage. If you go be sure to buy some cake. Delicious cakes.

We came in for lunch and were disappointed. The place seemed sort of run down and although not filthy it sure could be cleaner. The server was nice but took her time getting to us to get our order. Once our order was in it took a very long time to get our food considering it was not busy at all. I ordered a medium-rare burger and fries. Burger was cooked so hard and dry it basically had no taste, it didn't even come with cheese, maybe you have to ask for cheese? I only ate a couple of bites of the burger. The fries seemed like potato-mix fries you get at a fast food place and weren't worth eating. Wife ordered shrimp and grits (I think). You can see in the picture it looked like a bowl of slop, I didn't taste it but wife said it was disgusting and didn't eat it, she ate a few of the fries but that was all. We got tired of sitting there and had to ask for the bill so we could leave and go get food somewhere else.

My husband and I went here for breakfast before we ran our errands. I had a breakfast burrito and it was huge!! My husband had the western omelet and loved it. The veggies were plentiful and still a little crunchy the way he likes it. Coffee was delicious also. I can't remember our servers name but she was so sweet and very attentive. We'll definitely be back.

Of all of the restaurants in Fernandina Beach, Ms. Carolyn's Restaurant is my pick for number one. From all of the servers to Ms. Carolyn herself, I couldn't be treated better. The service is great, the food is wonderful, and everyone, including Ms. Carolyn, calls me by name. In my opinion, you couldn't ask for a better place to eat.
