Mezcal Spirit of Oaxaca

We wanted to love it, but it fell short. Service was ok, bartender was very nice and welcoming but I asked for no sweetener in my margarita and after an odd response about how it wouldn’t be balanced, it came out very sweet. Complimentary tostada chips were warm but tasted stale. Salsa and queso were both tasty yet entrees were mediocre at best. Atmosphere is a bit sterile, lights are bright as can be. Google stated closing at 10pm but staff looked ready to get everyone out by 9:15.

We had our company Christmas party today at Mezcal. The restaurant is beautiful and food is great but the staff was beyond fantastic. We had a large group and they were so friendly, attentive and fast service. Wonderful experience!

We had a wonderful experience here tonight. We were a group of 10 and we tried many different dishes. Every single dish was great. They were truly authentic dishes and not regular TexMex!

Amanda was our server and she was fantastic. She was very professional. She knew the dishes very well. Overall she made the experience much more pleasant.
Strongly recommend this place and we will be here next year.

Last night of vacation in Fernandina Beach. This place was on our bucket list. It did not disappoint. Our servers/bartenders, Cody and Christian, were personable and entertaining. Margaritas and tacos weregreat.

The menu is great. So many options that sounded good. We started with the guacamole, which was pretty good but nothing special. I went with the Pollo Maya, and the combination of flavors was very good, but the chicken was overcooked.

This restaurant just keeps getting better every time I go. The Chili Colorado is so amazing and the margaritas are the best in town! Family owned and loved by all the locals including me! 😊❤️

The food was a bit overpriced for what you get and minimal flavor. They charge $1.00 to add some chopped onions to the fish tacos.

My drink was average and I couldn't taste any alcohol at all in it.

Service was good, but I had to remind them to bring my chopped onions. The young lady bussing the tables was fantastic and very friendly. The host was very inviting when entering.

We were seating kind of in the back and it felt like a wide hallway they were able to fit some booths in behind the bar. It felt like an afterthought and had no atmosphere.

Mezcal Spirit of Oaxaca is a must visit while in Ferdinanda Beach. Conveniently in the heart of all the shops and walking area. It’s family-owned, and the original owner still works there every day — such a passionate, kind, and genuine man. You can feel the love in the food and the atmosphere. Everything was delicious, and the experience felt truly authentic.

Came here with a big party. Able to make reservations. The staff did great for a big group. Very friendly as well. Lots of great food options and nobody was disappointed.
