Over priced pours!! Taylor was 34 for a small pour. No bourbon menu so I had no idea but figured 20 at the most. Don’t go!!

10+ years living in the area and yesterday we went in with some visitors from south Florida but were disappointed. The place wasn’t very busy but the staff were only mostly chatting to themselves. Once the “bar tender” came over he didn’t make eye contact or greet us just threw some napkins in front of us hastily and just started for a few seconds so I told them what we wanted and he said we don’t have that here after a sarcastic laugh. I said you have no options to make a variation of those drinks? He replied I might be able to shake it really hard again sarcastically so we promptly left and went somewhere else where they greeted us and had not issues making the drinks and taking our money. As a former restaurant owner I was baffled with the service but they weren’t very busy so that tells the story. I wouldn’t waste my time. Oh and all that after waiting a while for them to finish chatting.

Visited the Palace Saloon, known as the oldest bar in Florida, and while the historic, woody atmosphere and live music were definitely charming, the experience didn’t live up to the hype.
We sat at the bar and asked the bartender for their signature cocktail — hoping to try the best of what they offer. Unfortunately, the drink was disappointing and overpriced. It lacked flavor and balance, especially for a place with so much history and reputation.
Cool vibe and worth a quick look if you’re into history, but we won’t be coming back. There are better spots on the island for cocktails and overall experience.

You don’t know friendly hospitality until you come to Amelia Island, and even their bars are full of the kindest people you’ll meet. Cannot thank the bartender enough for letting us take some photos here for our engagement shoot!!

First let me preface that we have been here many times and NEVER had this experience!! The bartender is l always fantastic. She was literally handing this place all in her own on New Years Eve all by herself. Then at 6:30 SECURITY came in told us we had to get up out our bar stools. They didn’t say anything else. We were like, wait what? When we questioned it, they said nothing to us..,other than literally taking our stools. I mentioned this to the bartender..,who at this same time had changed to a woman who we’d never seen, and appeared to be pregnant. Her response, was to tell security to have us removed!! We had just gotten two beverages, and now being forced out. What!?!? The gentleman next to us also questioned what was going on. Sad to say that this once long time staple for us is now dead to us! I can stay home and have $6 beer with no hassle.

The gal behind the bar really made the evening a blast as well as the entire environment as a whole. Moderately busy for a Sunday during the holidays. She even made sure to ask us if we needed to get a ride home called for us when she noticed that maybe we had too much. We were responsibly staying at the hotel right down the street but the attention to detail is much appreciated.

Was not allowed in because I didn’t have my ID (and I’m over 60). We were with family and the young kids were allowed in. When we said we would go to the bar next door the bouncer said it was more our speed. This was after spending a couple hundred dollars in the bar the night before.
