Pogo's Kitchen is a hidden gem located at Amelia Island. I found out about this restaurant when I was looking for a venue place and this place pop up on zola, i was intrigued so I told my husband I want to go visit this place and the rest was history.Pogo's Kitchen is in the middle of Oak trees when you are driving around Amelia Island, It is closed to Omni hotel, they have plenty of parking spots so it's a win win already on that part.Food: Highly recommend, went here this past Saturday evening to have our food tasting (yes, we booked Pogo's Kitchen) for our appetizer we tried the oysters, we picked the Pogo's version and the regular version which was both pretty good! Oysters was so fresh and the seasoning they put in there was fantastic! we also got the chance to try the she crab soup which was creamy and the lump crab on the middle was perfect! as for dinner we had the braised beef, char grilled fillet and the pan seared halibut as for our sides we had fingerling potatoes, mashed potatoes, mushrooms, asparagus and we added broccolini. the favorites was the char grilled fillet and the halibut. ohhh you know the chef knows what they are doing if they did not ask you how you want your steak but when it came out it was AMAZINGLY PERFECT!, the Halibut, the freshest and juiciest fish I ever tried! as for the sides winner was the mashed potatoes, asparagus and the broccolini, but of course we have to try dessert we had the berry cobbler and the pecan tart... I was obsessed with the pecan tart! I can eat that everyday lol.all in all, i love Pogo's Kitchen, the staff are always on point. Wade did a marvelous job serving us and he was very attentive! also, this place gives a very romantic and yet elegant vibe! they have outdoor seating as well not much but they do.

Outstanding. Portions were the perfect size. Most restaurant portions are too large these days. Sometimes we can’t take it home if we are traveling. This was dust right, and delicious too!

Very disappointed in the change since we lived here last winter - server was clueless. We tried to help, but Dear God. I felt so sorry for her - completely untrained and turned loose to open wine and serve food she knew nothing about. I wonder what has happened to that lovely spot on the island..........

We LOVED this place. Everything, from the way we were greeted, to the creative menu, to the caring wait staff, to the exceptional food and wine / cocktail selections were top notch. If we could give it 10 stars we wouldVegetarian options: Easier if you are a pescatarian, as we are... But you would be fine

Frustratingly disappointed, we had high hopes. Long story short, took two hours. Had to return the lobster with risotto. Cold and no flavor. Which should be rephrased, risotto with lobster bits (see photo). Waitress would vanish for 20-30m stents. Definitely never going back.
I don't know whether there was another chef for some of the reviews that I read, but last night had to be one of the worst meals that my wife and I had on the island in years. We did not go out specifically for Restaurant Week, but selected from that menu plus two apps. The cauliflower was very good, but from there it went completely downhill. How can the cauliflower have such great flavor, while the calamari (sitting on a bed of cucumbers and some benign sauce) have absolutely none? My porchetta had obviously sat under a heat lamp, and all of the incredible juices of a well cooked porchetta were gone. The underlying mush of whatever that was, was inedible - way too salty. My wife had the beet pasta. The pasta was essentially raw (as pasta makers ourselves, we know the difference between al dente and not cooked enough). Why such a harsh review? Without wine, the meal cost $150 and we had indigestion all night. The restaurant is probably one of the nicest built out spaces on the island. It is time that they match the food to their environment. Go to Burlingame or Davids or Salt for similar dollars but a far better food experience.

All in all, I had a very lovely evening at this more upscale restaurant. The atmosphere was nice and inviting. We ordered the charcuterie board and the grilled octopus as our appetizers. Unfortunately, we thought that the octopus was far too chewy and not flavorful enough. Also, the charcuterie board was "skimpy" to say the least.... We were expecting more meat than four of the most thinly sliced salami pieces. However, our entrees were much better. Especially delicious was the pappardelle! It's the perfect portion size, in my opinion. Our server was friendly as well. If you order the right things it's a really good deal and experience.

I’m a Limousine Driver, I dropped off 6 of my guests and they said that the waitress they had wasn’t nice. In which, it made their dining experience not so pleasant.

The food was ok. My steak was very chewy and my wife didn't like her omelette either. Staff is very friendly and atmosphere is very welcoming. Price of food is decent, not too expensive.

Brought my Aunt & Uncle here, for Sunday brunch, and the food was very good. I will definitely keep Pogo's in mind, the next time I'm in the area.
