I got the “special” tonight and it was grouper, it was flavorless and overcooked. The mussels were okay but the white wine sauce wasn’t that good, maybe the red sauce is better? The chicken marsala was delicious though and their fresh bread was great too. The soup is also homemade and some of the best around. They did forget my bruschetta and when I went back hours later to get a fresh one it was cold. This place used to be amazing but it has fallen off in recent years.

We ordered dinner & dessert from Santioni's tonight after not being there in a while. The main course was fine, though prices were a bit higher than when we were last there. The shock came with the dessert. We ordered 2 pieces of tiramisu. I took pictures to post, but cannot seem to on this restaurant. If I can get them to post I will add them, but try to imagine the sight ~ opening a box and having slices maybe 2.5" square @ $11 per serving. We were charged $22 for 2 small dessert pieces! They were tasty but not worth that price. Feeling foolish.......

We made reservations with family two months prior to the show at Horne-Thrasher Center. Our initial seating was right next to another party, as if they were included in our dinner reservation. We requested another table. We brought two (2) bottles of our favorite wine and we were told the corkage fee was $25 per bottle. This fee was ridiculous compared to high end restaurants. I requested to speak to management. She waived one corkage fee and then spent time explaining the fee was due to insurance. I did not agree with her explanation, as other restaurant corkage fees are reasonable. I thanked her for the explanation and we would certainly come back. Her response….”I don’t care if you ever come back.” All of us were astonished by her response. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. If you remember her father’s restaurant at the corner of Kingsley and US17, he would yell at customers. His wife had to come out and try to calm him. The restaurant eventually closed. No surprise. Due to her response, we will not be returning…..I dont care if the food is good. Go to Enza’s……she will come out of the kitchen, thank you for coming and make a special cake for you on your birthday. Best Italian restaurant in Jacksonville!!!!

Such a nice little place that's clearly popular, so come early or make sure you have a reservation! Popped in for a light meal and we're definitely coming back for more. Chris and the staff are attentive and service is generally quite prompt for whatever you order. Can be a bit busy for date night, but is still a great place to dine alone or in groups.

My gnocchi was awful! But my husband ate seafood canneloni and liked it.Our server was friendly but not terribly attentive. They dress the place up, but the tables are so crammed in, that at one point I thought the food for the table beside us was going to be in our friends lap.We won't be going back there.

Great warm atmosphere and classic Italian food. We had mussels, capreses salad, and the chicken parmesean- all were great. A warm and casual homey place with ambient piano - would recommend!
