Went with friend at 6.00pm on a Wednesday. I had Goulash soup and Paprika Schnitzel, friend had soup and schmankelplatte. All delicious. Service was timely pleasant and attentive. Greeting was welcoming. Fine Old German ambience.

My husband had the Wiener schnitzel and said it was just ok. I had their Oktoberfest Special platter (Bratwurst, knockwurst roast pork, sauerkraut) nothing special. We had ordered their pretzel as an appetizer again only ok. What we didn’t like was the waitress delivered our entree immediately after delivering our appetizer! The one good note was their Paulaner beer!
Authentic and delicious. Service was outstanding..extremely attentive and friendly. Food was terrific..big portions at decent prices.

Went for early bird (5-6 pm only)..Soup, entree, choice of dessert. We were the only patrons at that time. Hostess told us about specials that were added to the early bird menu. It took 10 min for someone to take our order. We got cold soup to start our dinner. It came back 2 min later warmed in the microwave. We asked about bread and were told that we had to ask for it. Ok, we did. Dinner was just average, Jaeger schnitzel with spaetzle. Red cabbage was a separate order. Choice of dessert was coconut cake (German ?) No choice. Waitress said "This is what you get". It took about 15 min to get our check. Surprise!.. $63.13 for the early bird. When we questioned the price, the waitress said she would speak to the manager. 20 min later we asked to see the manager who then informed us that the special added to the early bird was at regular menu price. Huh? We were never told about that upcharge. It was deceitful not to inform us of that. We will never go back or recommend this place.
The staff was incredible

I recently removed my 5 star review after my second visit. We went for early birds and the 4 of us each ordered off early bird menu where prices recently spiked. You are not allowed to ask for extra plate! NO SHARING! You are not allowed to try another person's food from early bird menu. The waitress made it perfectly clear which was embarrassing as the table right next to us was occupied. There are many choices in Fort Lauderdale to dine at and this restaurant saw us for the last time!
Had a great time will definitely go back

I really enjoyed eating here. My Champignon Rahm Schnitzel
Panfried veal cutlet accompanied by a creamy mushro sauce and spaetzle was delicious. I wasn't expecting too much, but I was very happily surprised. I will definitely return.

Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Authentic German establishment. Hospitable, friendly servers; reasonable prices; quaint decor. Not the best for a couple of the dishes but all in all a good establishment.
We had the pretzel with horseradish and shredded carrots cream cheese plus mustard; potato pancakes with sour cream and applesauce; Weiner schnitzel with a side of brown gravy, spaetzle, and red cabbage; potato soup; and their special bacon blue cheese soup.
The pretzel appetizer was good and filling for only $6 (on August 1, 2024). It came with mustard and either horseradish cream cheese or spicy cream cheese. The potato pancakes were about 4 inches across and deep fried brown with a dense chives mixture inside.
I found the Weiner schnitzel a bit gamey but of excellent texture. The brown gravy was good, homemade, with caraway flavor I thought. Spaetzle was pan fried and a mite tough in the browned parts.
The red cabbage hit us in the throat with cloves, sugar and vinegar. “Wow!” we both exclaimed after the first bite.
I couldn’t tell the difference between the potato soup and the bacon blue cheese soup except mine came in a fancier bowl. They were both good soups but both tasted like bacon, cream, smooth potato purée and cheese. Maybe the blue cheese in my soup was tasted at first but after that I couldn’t detect it or see it. Maybe ask for and pay for extra blue cheese on the side.

This is my favorite German restaurant. Tonight I ordered Paprika Schnitzel "Budapest"
Panfried veal cutlet enhanced by a creamy paprika sauce, accompanied by spaetzle.
It was delicious and service was top notch!

We arrived right around 5 pm on a Thursday. We were seated at a private table in the back that was so cozy & private. It was bliss until a table seated nearby began playing videos on their phones with the speaker on. Relaxing dinner was ruined. Despite asking one of the waitresses to ask them to turn the volume down, it continued until we left. Salads & mixed sausage platter appetizer were phenomenal, but the Jaeger Schnitzel was tough & cooked with way too much bacon - overpowered the dish in a bad way. The German Chocolate cake was dry & tasted stale. The coconut topping was thick & dry as well. For a $135 dinner + tip (2 people), we left feeling very disappointed. Additionally, it's crazy they charge for soda refills ($3 each) when you're spending that much with them. All that said, their pretzels are fabulous! Doubt we'll go back, but will definitely pick up some pretzels from time to time.
