We have lived a few miles west of this restaurant for more than two decades and finally got around to trying it. (Hubby loves Mexican food.) The place is small and cozy, and it seats about 12-15, maybe a tad more. Warning: If you don't speak Spanish you will have a tough time here. The server barely spoke English. Fortunately, I studied Spanish for four years and can communicate decently in the language. First, I had to ask that the music be lowered. We couldn't hear each other or the server. And my request was gladly honored. Don't expect the traditional chips and salsa here. We got chips with refried beans. And I have to say it was the best refried beans I have ever had. It was fresh and tasty and not too salty or soppy. We ordered the four-taco special with a beef, chorizo, chicken, and al pastor taco. And we also got a meal that came with three chicken sopes. We shared both. The chicken was a bit dry. The others were OK. The accompanying cilantro and onions (on the side because of my onion allergy) and cheese topping were plentiful. The tortillas tasted homemade. But all the meats were a bit too salty for us. The server was very polite and spoke a couple of words of English but not enough for someone who doesn't speak Spanish. They added a $2 tip to a $20 meal. We gave her $4 (20%) instead. I would definitely go back for the refried beans (and I am not usually a fan). Nothing else stood out.

In Fort Lauderdale, a Savoury Fiesta at Antojitos MexicanosLocated in the thriving city of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Antojitos Mexicanos is a hidden gem that offers a gourmet tour into the heart of Mexico. I recently went to this restaurant, and I had a great time, and I want to tell you about it.I was immediately taken to a raucous Mexican festival after entering Antojitos Mexicanos. The restaurant's vibrant furnishings, cheery soundtrack, and welcoming atmosphere made it the ideal setting for an authentic eating experience. With her warm and helpful service, our waitress Maria gave our meal a personal touch.Let's go on to the pièce de résistance, the bocadillos. Antojitos Mexicanos raises the bar for bocadillo craftsmanship significantly.

I always drove pass this restaurant and today I finally took the time to visit. I ordered a dish called “flautas” with a side of rice and beans. To start off with the rice was hard and it seemed to be reheated. The beans were fine just a bit salty. The flautas were extremely hard and over fried. I won’t be visiting again.
Had the greatest tacos last night top tier! The Tortilla alone was the first sign that they know what they are doing. Service was excellent, can’t wait to go back !
The tortilla is 10/10, the meat is 5/10
