Black Rock Bar & Grill - Fort Lauderdale

Got there at 5:30 sat at the bar had a glass of happy hour Pinot Grigio only $3.50. My friend said or wanted to order already
I was not ready I waited and then had another drink. I then ordered the shrimp appetizer and the black rock bubbling shrimp appetizer it’s in way to much boiling butter I asked what was the size of the shrimp and he made a nice gesture of how the size of the shrimp last NOT and I had the lobster bisque it looks fabulous very messy THO and you could tell the lobster was frozen. Well when I get my bill I see that he did not charge me for my second glass of wine and I told him he said thank you Chad then he came back and he said he just removed $3.00 he rang it up after HH. Fine so I go to pay my bill he picks up my credit card and the bill and then puts it back on bar .11/11/2024- went for lunch. Very big place . Inside & outside seating. We went for lunch. Around 12:30. The place was empty. We sat at bar with Pat.
Nice guy, very helpful, plus he had patients because it took me a while to decide what I wanted.
I decided on the Blackrock chicken sandwich. It came with mashed potatoes had two chicken pieces on the top two pieces of really good asparagus, bacon and mozzarella cheese. It’s huge..
G had their Rock burger. That also ws very big, which came with ff. We each had ice tea, G had sweet.
Pat was checking in on us but then again we were the only people in there. With different app check in free appy.

I said excuse me he goes I have an order to take here really I was just honest to tell you you forgot to ring up my second glass of wine , that pissed me off.
I was just kind enough to let you know you didn’t ring up my second glass really .
The lighting is very bright at the bar area they need to dim the lights .

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Black Rock Restaurant, and I must say, the experience was fantastic! Under new ownership, the restaurant has undergone some exciting changes, and it shows.

Our server, Vera, was amazing—she was attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the menu. Her recommendations were spot on, and she made sure we felt welcomed and well taken care of throughout our meal.

Came here for lunch with a friend on a Saturday. It was rather empty which was a bit surprising to me. The service was not terrible, however it could have been better. I ordered the clam chowder and a caesar salad with salmon. The soup was not good and I was looking forward to it. I have gotten clam chowder at many restaurants and this one was my least favorite. The only positive about the salad was that my salmon was cooked perfectly at a medium rare temperature as requested. The lettuce was soggy and it was evident that the salmon had been sitting on it for a long period of time. The dressing had no taste. My friend ordered the lobster dip which was extremely oily and tasteless as well. Needless to say, we will not be returning. There are so many better options
for dining in the area, even chain restaurants….

I came here with my family for my mom's 60th birthday and it was an amazing experience. I'm already thinking of who to come back with. Ask to be seated in Charlene's section if she's available. Her service is A1. She is attentive and knowledgeable! She even cooked my mom and aunt's steaks tableside for them because the cooking stone gives it a better taste than the grill. I highly recommend the spinach dip, island wings, and perfect pair. The bartender made a tasty mocktail and other drinks too. Trust me, come here. It's a great vibe!

Charlene was like a breath of fresh air. She is a fellow New Yorker and we enjoyed her stories and her service. I will make sure she is our server when we come back. The food was delicious too.

Charlene was the most gracious hostess. From the moment we entered until our departure she made us feel special. I love the way she explained the menu options. We ordered the jumbo shrimp and boy were the jumbo. To say our starter spinach dip was a meal in itself is an understatement! The tacos were superb. I cannot say enough about the waffle fries. OMG soooo good. Charlene made our meal an experience! Thank you!! We'll be back with friends and business acquaintances.
