Come on Boathouse Riverside. I came here to find a rich husband with a yacht. Turns out, I am the rich husband with zero hassles. Ha! Dinner with a view of the river was spectacular but the food was eh. The smoked fish dip was the star, smoky and salty. Delicious. The calamari tasted like the freezer aisle. Not offensive, just kinda there. I could have eaten 50 of the garlic shrimp. So flavorful. Protip: order extra bread for dipping.

Great location right on the Intracoastal Waterway. The Boathouse is the hotel restaurant for the boutique hotel across the street.

Very airy, breeze and fans keep the airflow plenty throughout, inside and outside. Plenty of outdoor seating too.

I had the fish & conch soup. It was a good stew, I would call it, chock full of fish & veg. However, I pointed out to the waiter that I didn't encounter any conch. They didn't have saltines for the soup. This should be a given.

My entree was the Yucatan Mahi Mahi. It was great, cooked just right. Fish was firm, no sense of fishiness at all. Served on a plank of fried yuca on top of creamed avocado.

Above & tip was $42 out the door.

The ambiance at The Boathouse is truly outstanding—beautiful waterfront views and a relaxed, upscale vibe make it a great spot for a meal or drinks with friends. Service was also top-notch; the staff was attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience feel special.

That said, the food portions left something to be desired. I ordered the fish tacos, which were flavorful, but the serving size was surprisingly small. I left still feeling hungry, which was disappointing given the otherwise high quality of the experience.

Would definitely come back for the atmosphere and service, but I’d probably try something else on the menu or plan to order a bit more.

This was a great spot to finish out our last day on vacation in Ft. Lauderdale! We had amazing service, food & drinks were delicious and it was so nice to sit down on the deck and watch the boats go by!

Great waterfront restaurant, many options for food, we picked the calamari, mahi mahi, chicken fingers (i was feeling particularly boring), and rice and black beans. everything came out quickly, and our server (emily) was very sweet and helpful. would recommend for a casual lunch or dinner spot!

Even though it was raining slightly and very humid. They adapted the outside to still feel great. The food selection wasn’t too extensive b it everyone enjoyed the food and the prices for the experience was fare.

One of my favorite hidden gems in Fort Lauderdale! Boathouse at the Riverside blends a relaxed coastal vibe with great food, stunning views, and an unbeatable location right on the New River. It’s the kind of spot you stumble on once and keep coming back to every time you’re in town.

The outdoor seating right along the dock is what makes it so special. Boats float by, palm trees sway, and there’s always a nice breeze coming off the water. Whether you’re grabbing brunch, dinner, or just a few drinks, the atmosphere is perfect—laid-back but still classy.

We started with the tuna tartare and calamari—both fresh and well-seasoned. I had the blackened snapper tacos, and they were packed with flavor without being heavy. My friend ordered the shrimp and grits and said it was the best she’s had in South Florida. Their cocktails are solid too—the mojito and the riverside margarita both hit the spot.

Service was friendly and timely, even during the dinner rush. The staff made great recommendations without trying to upsell, and everything came out hot and fresh. Also, loved that it’s right next to the Riverside Hotel—super convenient if you’re staying there or just walking Las Olas.

Highly recommend if you’re looking for good vibes, riverfront views, and solid food in a not-too-touristy spot. Definitely a go-to when showing friends around town.

Hit a great happy hour! 1/2 off the beer wine and spirits and the wine choices were excellent! Let’s see how the food is!

Ok - I had the arugula and spring mix salad with watermelon, candied pecans, watermelon, cucumbers, red onions, crumbled goat cheese and grilled shrimp with a watermelon vinaigrette…it was amazing…expect this at my next dinner party!!!!

BTW - the staff here was amazing! Nate and Gabriel behind the bar and Terrance the asst manager - everyone was wonderful!

The happy hour food selections were excellent even though we didn’t choose them. And to top it all off the view was great!
