We dined at Casa Playa last night for a family get together and it was perfect! The ambience is open, contemporary and serene. Wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling glass, blonde wood furniture, bright white walls, and a colorful palm mural on one wall, is welcoming and confident. The artwork is in the food. We started with Peruvian style calamari which was crisply coated with an audible crunch. The chicken and beef Argentinian empanadas were baked pockets of lusciously seasoned meat....
The atmosphere was ambient and peaceful. Great location for a calming dinner experience. We didn’t have to fight over noise to have conversations. Great first date location for off the beaten path.
The Food was good, solid variety. Octopus was tender and seasoned well. Tuna tartare guac with plantain chips and crispy pork belly bites were standard. The Yuca a la huancaina was crispy.
Drinks were well crafted and served timely.
