Very expensive & underwhelming … and I can’t get a side dish of gravy to go w my omelet & home-fries? Sure you can, $5 xtra; $75 breakfast for two. NYC meet So FL.

This is the second time I’ve received food with hair in it. After the first incident, I tried to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt because mistakes happen. But for this to happen again is completely unacceptable.

What made the experience even worse was speaking with the owner, Robert. Instead of handling the situation professionally, he told me I had a “better chance of getting struck by lightning” than this happening again. The slick comments and lack of accountability were honestly unbelievable.

He then told me to bring the food back uneaten for a refund — which should be OBVIOUS, because why would anyone eat food with hair in it?

The waitresses (Angel) was very nice and professional, but Robert’s attitude and lack of customer service completely ruined the experience. Very disappointed with how this was handled. After this last experience, I will not be returning.

Whenever we return from a cruise in either Fort Lauderdale or Miami, this is our breakfast spot! We love the food, ambiance and great customer service in this Ma & Pop restaurant! They offer a wide variety of food and beverage selections for all! You are bound to find something great on their menu! Definitely not a chain restaurant but gives a feeling of having a home-cooked meal!

Apparently this was the original El Mar cafe? Idk if I didn't understand, but whatever- point is it's a great family atmosphere, true diner feeling; makes it feel like hometown. Food was good and served quick. Totally recommend. Oh and the staff was super friendly!

Great breakfast place to go after church on Sunday!
Waiters are well trained and food comes out pretty quickly.
Very friendly and attentive to your dining needs.
