The new owners seem nice enough but the food is terrible. I felt swindled by them when I called and an unfamiliar voice answered and I got charged 3x the price as previous for vomitus food that I had to throw out. My advice: drop the fusion and stick with Cuban. You have no chance of survival and you know it.

ZERO STARS. Its not right you have the rating you do seeing as you took over from the original east China. Also we dont need the owners and workers giving 5 star reviews. Its obvious thats what yall did. Use to go to the old east China weekly and the food was delicious. Please stick to your cuban food if you can even cook that right. Place will be out of buisness very soon

Ever since it became “East China in Havana” the Chinese food quality plummeted.

East China in Havana ?? fabulous the atmosphere is incredible. The staff is friendly with every single customer that comes in through the door. You have fresh fruits. The juices and pastries are fantastic. The food is made with extra love what more can you ask for. Chinese and Cuban food together in one place. Yummy yum yum ? thank you for bringing that new flavor to Fort Lauderdale.

IMPORTANT UPDATE for past customers (prior to March 2024): This place is under new ownership hence the addition of “in Havana” to the name. Okay, the name should have been my first warning. The second warning: I walk in and it was as if I was walking into a Cuban Cafe with fruit and pastries everywhere. Yes, the lady (new owner?) is very bubbly and nice but that’s about it. Apparently , they just want to offer their customers more variety which perplexes me since if i want Chinese-American food, I’m not trying to get an empanada on the side. The final straw: The food. WOW. I ordered General Tso’s chicken and it’s clear they didn’t get the recipe with the acquisition. Fried chicken nuggets cooked in grease and sprinkled with red pepper flakes. Not even a hint of soy sauce, hoisin sauce, or garlic in the taste. Plus, the rice didn’t even seem like jasmine rice. I had to throw the entire meal away it was so inedible.I’m all about supporting small businesses but this is not it. They should just drop the Chinese and sell Cuban food. Perhaps they are just trying to leverage the existing book of business.

Excellent, fresh, tatesful. Ordered special fried rice, eggroll, 2 chz empanadas. Comes with a green spicy sauce, it was DA BOMB!! In uber eats starting 3/18, hopefully ?. Will definitely come back for the jerk pork & jerk ribs. Amazing fusion!Would've like to sit at a table and eat it though... No photos, sorry, it was too good. Miami in FtL is the best!!

New management- friendly staff- highly disappointed in food. Not like original management. I’ve been coming here for years (2017) while I’m okay with change, this has let me down. I don’t think I will purchase Chinese food anymore. Rice tastes disgusting not real Chinese made rice. Restaurant has turned into Cuban Chinese. This was NOT mix in brands.

I just bought fried rice with wings and daddies, the chicken had a strange smell, the rice tasted strange and the chips were fried with a very reused oil. I won't come back here again.

I just bought a Lunch there that hurts, the food was very bad, the food was old, reheated, the old chicken, greasy, the old rice, the fries tasted like overheated oil, they damaged the old restaurant, I could only eat two tablespoons and since the food was ugly

East China owners have sold this place and now it’s Cuban Asian fusion? Food was not good. I miss the old East China. Time to find a new Chinese

This new East China Havana Fusion is simply not working!!! I've been ordering the Singapore Street Noodles for years. Since 2009 to be precise. This right here is not Singapore Street Noodles and not only does it look very unappetizing, it also tasted terrible! I will miss the original East China. I wish I knew where the owners have gone as I would follow them!
