Food was great and the atmosphere was great. Our waitress did a great job until we got the bill. It was an electronic pay and had various tip amounts and I asked if the service charge was included and she said yes but she said she only gets 8% of the 20% service charge. So I tipped and extra $5. When I got the receipt it had a flat rate service charge of 20%. I don't understand how anyone would work at a place that would only gets 8% of the 20% service charge. I felt as if I was swindled to tip extra. I don't think this is best practice for servers or a business.

Food and drinks are amazing! Staff was extremely nice and so sweet! One of my favorite place to get everything I want in one place :)

We came excited to have a few drinks, sushi rolls and watch the soccer game. I’ll try to keep this short cause they already took too much of my time.

My husband and brother in law ordered a shot of Jameson and a beer. The shot came looking like a watered down rum and coke. IT WAS VISIBLE. At least do a better job to conceal you’re watering down the liquor bottles. We politely told the server that we know it was watered down and she giggled and walked away. No “sorry” or “let me get you another”. Just walks away and doesn’t come back to check on us for an hour.

We were there for 2 hours. Long enough for our server to have multiple side conversations with other staff and even have sushi at the bar herself. Literally a full plate with chopsticks; but not long enough apparently to where we never even got to order one. She never came lol. It was comical at this stage.

We had to literally flash a phone light for her to come and she came with the bill with 20% already included. I understand including the tip with large parties, or when service needs to meet a high standard…. But this was robbery. I’m happy she got to eat.. while we wanted to.. on our dime.

I had a very disappointing experience at El Tiesto Cafe Bar in Las Olas. The waitress barely cared to attend to us. We ordered two whiskeys, and they were clearly watered down. Every time we needed service, the waitress was sitting in the corner eating instead of checking on customers. On top of that, they automatically added a 20% tip to the bill, which is bold given the lack of service. Definitely not worth the money or the experience

Great food, great music, friendly service. Was a little slow to get our food and refills on drinks, but worth the wait. The ambiance was loud but the music was great. We would return!

It unfortunately wasn't great! Which makes me so sad because we came for a birthday dinner with my friends from New York. Unfortunately, the experience was horrible, with no hostess, cold and inaccurately advertised food. They should absolutely not say their Mac & cheese is homemade as it was obviously that powdered cheese from the box! The drinks were also not 2 for 1 as advertised for “ladies night”. I ordered two lychee martinis and they were inconsistent, with one being white and the other pink. Although the server's communication skills were limited, she attempted to be helpful. I would not recommend this location and will not return. Had a better experience ordering delivery from their Pines location; the food came fresher & hotter. Crazy right?!

Oh, for all this was a very good experience. The food was very good, the server and hostess were both very nice. My only reservation is a 20% service charge plus having to leave a tip.

Great music. Food was good. Fried rice can do without the celery. It over powers the dish. Nightlife after 11 is nice. Not too crowded and an overall nice time

El Tiesto never fails I have been to a few of their locations. The food and the drinks are always delicious and the music was fantastic. Our waitress was also amazing. I would definitely recommend.

We did not wind up eating there. We walked up and you can hear the music thumping from down the block. When we got there we explained that the music was too loud to have an enjoyable experience. It was so loud the hostess had to have me step outside to talk because she could not hear me inside the restaurant. They were basically empty except for 1 table but said they could not lower the music. For context this was a Sunday evening not a Friday or Saturday night. They need to learn their audience.

Wonderful, creative , extensive menu and knowledgeable, friendly staff- just much too loud at 5:30 PM on a Saturday- Otherwise, 5-stars!

I was fairly excited to try Dominican sushi as someone who does not like sushi. Unfortunately, the food took fairly long to come out. Each of the individuals in my party received their order at separate times. At this time the restaurant was not busy but there was only one waitress serving each table. Either way, the ambiance was nice and the playlist was wonderful. I was just a bit disappointed by the experience.

We went for the happy hour and really enjoyed their “Dominicanized” sushi. The Ay Vea and the El Fuertw were very good. Also enjoyed the Mofonguitos. Overall a pleasant experience with good music and good food in a great location.

My dining partner and I were looking forward to El Tiesto based on their menu online. When we got there, the place was pretty much empty, and for a good reason. The live music was so loud that I had to yell to communicate with the maître d'. We took a table outside, hoping that would be better. Nope. We still couldn't hear one another. No worries because we couldn't get a server either. We left.
