El Vez Fort Lauderdale

We loved every minute of our stay! We had the best server, unbelievable drinks and we devoured your guacamole, salsas and queso. What a great night at El Vez!

Second time visiting this restaurant on our trip to FL. This time we sat inside and I think that's where this experience wasn't as enjoyable as our last visit on the patio. Food was great but vibrant was much better on the patio. Service a bit slower this time and servers were running around clearing tables of salt and pepper and adding glasses. They kind of forgot about us. Overall, food is great but service is a hit or miss.

We have been long time frequent diners at el vez. The last 3 or 4 times were not a great experience and we stayed away for almost a year. We are so happy that the experience this time was much like when we first started there. From the hostess seating us all the way to the end of our meal we couldn't have been happier. There is a noticeable change in staff, attitude, service, friendliness, etc. all positive and more in line with the Steven Starr brand.

The food was phenomenal. We had the tacos Al carbon steak and chicken and absolutely loved it. We live an hour away and stayed at the W for a weekend getaway with our kiddos but we would totally drive back just for that meal! Delicious.

Amazing views of the ocean while dining on delicious fajitas. El Vez uses top shelf skirt steak along with perfectly cooked vegetables. It's very reasonable for a spot that's offering such a view. A definite visit if you're ever in Ft Lauderdale. Service can be slow at times.

Friendly service at the lobby/patio restaurant at the W across the street from the beach. Amazing tacos and guacamole. Freshly made chips. Good strong drinks. All around a good option for A1A beach area

We had dinner there recently. I have to be honest. It was just ok. First of all, the booth where we were seated, was extremely hot. We asked for the AC to be turned up but they could not accommodate us. The server was super friendly but took forever getting to us. We literally were about to get up and leave when she arrived. The food came quickly, thank goodness. We chowed down and got out of there as quickly as possible. The atmosphere felt more like a dance club than a restaurant, but I understand we are in South Florida.

The ladies at the entrance and our sever Samuel were OUTSTANDING. The food options on the menu were very limited and the cocktails were Waterdown. The view was nice, but I doubt I we will be returning. This is probably a good place for tourists but not for the locals.

Would not go back. Mahi Mahi tacos tasted like fish sticks, nothing fresh about it. The margarita tasted like Jose Cuervo mix from the liquor store. The guac was about the only good thing. Ambience was cool but was expecting it to be more of the quality of Philly El Vez.

The food was a lot better than I expected. It was real good and the service was fantastic.

Nachos are rlly good. Tacos are also yummy but nothing crazy. Service is kinda slow and lacking

We made a reservation for dinner. Your website clearly states “ outdoor seating is first come, first serve”. We showed up on time, there were plenty of outside tables available. When we asked your hostess to be seated outside we were told those tables are reserved. We told her we have a reservation. She clearly does not know your policies! Our server, Ronnie was very attentive. When we showed him there were bones in our fish taco, he immediately showed it to the chef. Someone had the decency to take the snapper tacos off the check. Not sure how fast we will be going back there.

El Vezzz!!! We love it here! The food is excellent and the cocktails are fantastic! We love the one in Philadelphia and enjoyed getting to visit this location in Ft Lauderdale. Hard to beat the location here on A1A. We came for dinner one night and happy hour another day. Noise level is high but with great vibes. Great DJ at happy hour too. 3-6pm. Go!

Poor service. Less than average margaritas. Auctioned our food when serving. Slow kitchen. Lack follow up. Sorry for bad review!

The drinks were innovative and very well balanced. The food was amazing. The rice and beans delicious. Never tasted better. Our server Jevon was a stand out with his great service and attention. Friendly and made the evening go fantastic. We felt as if were VIPs. Can't wait to revisit.
