Even Keel Las Olas

Without a doubt, this is the best seafood and dining experience we've had in Fort Lauderdale. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the owners go above and beyond with their hands-on approach. If you're seeking great vibes, delicious seafood, and a relaxed atmosphere, look no further—this is the place to be! Even without a car, we love arriving by water taxi, adding to the charm of the experience. This has officially become our go-to spot every time we visit this beautiful area!

No. Not a good choice for many reasons. The sign reads “Fish and Oyster”. First, we have preciously eaten at Even Keel when it was located on Federal Highway. This version of the restaurant has an identity crisis. It’s nether fish nor oyster. A fish restaurant has fish you choose which fish and how it is prepared. Neither here. It’s a few prepared choices. One local fish fried. Oysters choice is limited. Unlike other local restaurants. They didn’t realize I am a local who wanted Stone Crab and tried to sell me their large ones at $18 each (see pic). They claimed the size is regulated by the state. I refused. I just had large stone crabs last week at Trulucks, twice the size of their Large. Ripoff. Stay away. Octopus was just ok. A bit overcooked

EVEN KEEL in the heart of Ft. Lauderdale is a true gem! We stopped in for a small bite and drinks, and everything was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The ambiance on the terrace, right by the waterway, made us feel like we’d been transported overseas...absolutely magical. A huge thank you to Gregorio and Julia, our amazing servers who knew the menu inside out, and to Natasha, our bartender, who made the experience extra special. If you’re looking for great food, drinks, and unforgettable service, EVEN KEEL is a must-visit!

First time in Ft. Lauderdale. Found this place from reviews, and they exceeded expectations. The Hot Lobster Roll was delicious, from the ginger butter to the lemon aioli and every thing in between. Bread was buttered and toasted well. Lobster was rich and tender. The service was very good, but I did’t give them a chance otherwise. Very friendly and hospitable. I will return. Thank you!

My wife and I recently celebrated a 33rd wedding anniversary with a few days in Lauderdale. We stayed at a hotel in the Las Olas area so we could walk to restaurants and shopping. We had some amazing meals and experiences but on our last night we had no dinner plans and spontaneously ended up at Even Keel. It was the perfect romantic ending to a great weekend. Delicious food with artistic plating, caring service and cozy vibes throughout.

This is the first time we came here just on a casual, Wanted to try something different for an afternoon lunch. we only ordered 2 items but I have to say out of those,I was not impressed. We got the biscuits which sounded absolutely amazing.They were a little on the hard side and the honey butter had no flavor. The fish n chip order was large so we shared that. I love shoestring fries but theirs did not have any flavor. my husband liked them.I did not care for them. For the fried fish, we were told they used Mahi. that was good, but nothing to stand out amongst other restaurants I have gone to. our server was very nice. they had a man playing music which was nice also

Had the Lobster Roll and the Ketch Tower. Everything tasted Fresh and amazing! Our server Greg went above and beyond with our service, making us feel so so welcomed and gave us an amazing time with small talk here and there. Would absolutely come here again and would definitely ask for Greg to be our serve in the future. Thank you Even Keel!

Good service. Beautiful atmosphere. Civiche was sliced shrimp, cucumber, and onions...not Civiche. Adult grilled cheese had fish in it... should have been better. Love pate was enjoyable. Pina Colada was the best thing!!

Came during happy hour- everything was amazing- oysters, fish dip, conch fritters, octopus, conch chowder, ceviche.....Sat at the bar, service great! You MUST check this out.

I started out being warmly greeted by a very personable and friendly hostess who made me feel welcome. I noticed they are dog friendly outside on the front patio over looking the water. We sat inside and the restaurant is immaculate and everything was very tastefully decorated.
Gregorio was our server and he didn’t miss a beat! Natasha the bartender makes excellent lemon drops. The owner was also there and is very charming. The food was incredible!! Everything I tried was over-the-top delicious!! The Thai shrimp cerviche is out of this work with great flavors. The Caesar salad with anchovy and caper dressing is one of the best I’ve had in my life. The burgers were superior and so was the bread pudding. I’d have to say that this is one of the best restaurants in Fort Lauderdale and the best on Las Olas. I look forward to going back again and again!!

Been here a few times (brunch and dinner) and each time the service, food, and vibes are top tier! Bartenders make good craft cocktails and seafood is always fresh. The white chocolate bread pudding is a MUST!
