My wife and I went to Fogo to celebrate our 15 year anniversary. I am not one to post negative comments. But given that it was our anniversary, and it is not an inexpensive meal, I wanted to share the good and subpar. The good: the meats are always prepared well, and this time was no exception. The bad: the candied bacon and the lack of attentive service. Our waiter came once, and that was about it. We were helped by others. The lack of attentive service made us want to ask for...

The food was excellent. Being first time guests, we needed to learn a few things but our server was wonderful. Luis the Manager was always walking around, making sure everyone was happy. A very nice man. It was great. It couldn't have been better. The only drawback was the noise. Very high celings and very noisy.

This restaurant has a great heritage, but this location doesn't represent it. The traditional cuts were either over cooked or not even cooked through, as these are cooked by the waiters, so no quality is controlled. Sorry to see this franchise falling over its previously well known cooking.
