We flew into Fort Lauderdale from Philadelphia on our way to the keys. We happen to find this wonderful spot called big Mike’s. The place was such a great start for our trip in Florida. The menu is 100% gluten-free, which is very relaxing for anyone who has that allergy to know that there is no way that anything could be contaminated. Couple of that with excellent food, great service and just an all-around great relaxing atmosphere and you have the perfect spot. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to hit the spot for a breakfast/brunch.
Big Mike came around and greeted everyone in the restuarant. The staff were friendly and helpful. The cool-ade smoothie was amazing. Not too sweet and fresh. The fiesta omelet was delicious. There is a delicious hot sauce on each table.

The food @ Big Mike was delicious. Most importantly the customer service was top notch. The owner Big Mike came to our table and introduced himself and told us his story. As we sat and ate, my wife and I witnessed him greet and talked to every customer coming and leaving. Great food, Great customer service, Great atmosphere and cleanliness. What more can you ask for.

This place is absolutely fantastic. The owner, Big Mike, is incredibly warm and welcoming — you can feel that this is his personal passion project to offer healthy, delicious alternatives for everyone. There’s plenty of free parking, excellent service, and an impressive variety of vegan options.
We tried the vegan omelette — honestly, one of the best omelettes I’ve ever had — and the waffle with vegan cream, which was also outstanding. But the biggest discovery? Their hot sauce. It’s so good that we ended up buying two extra bottles to take home!
It’s rare to see vegan restaurants like this thriving, so please support Big Mike and this amazing spot. You won’t be disappointed.

Wow! Had an amazing experience. Dedicated gluten free and the food is terrific. Had the buttermilk waffle with turkey bacon. Really enjoyed visiting with Big Mike. Highly recommend even if you are not gluten free.

Stopped here for my sister, who is Celiac, on our way to the cruise port. Had the most delicious breakfast ever (all gluten free)!!! So many options on the menu to choose from- all fresh and sooooooo good. We loved it so much that we came back at the end of our cruise. The staff are so friendly and even remembered us!!

We made the drive from Hallandale Beach to Fort Lauderdale to try this spot, and it did not disappoint. The hibiscus cold tea? Beyond refreshing—I could’ve sipped it forever. The açaí bowl was loaded with fruit, and somehow, I still had room for my egg whites. My husband enjoyed his meal so much he hardly spoke! 😅
Big thanks to Big Mike for staying true to clean, healthy food and for the warm, personalized service. The staff made the experience even better. 💚
