Nice place, delicious food and great customer service, Stephanie provided us awesome recommendations from the menu
This was one of the more disappointing restaurant experiences I've ever had. We came here to celebrate my daughter passing her real estate exam and we figured since it was the Hyatt, it would be a nice place, good service and good food. We were wrong on all three.
1. The place: Although the restaurant had some Hyatt lobby level decor, it really honestly felt like a glorified cafeteria setting or wear guests go when they have complimentary breakfast in a three-star hotel. It was very loud, you could hear the noise of the kitchen, and there were no plants or acoustic wall coverings to absorb the noise, And the tables were like large family style tables.
2. The service: Our servers were very cavalier and too casual for the Hyatt....they seemed like they had never worked or even eaten in an upscale restaurant before. It was very difficult to understand them because of the accent, I believe they were all Haitian. We ordered a charcuterie board for the table and then some food for the kids that we asked them to bring out as soon as possible and then we each had an entree and a bottle of wine. They were very quick to bring the wine out, but after that we waited about 40 minutes and still no charcuterie or food for the kids. Finally they brought out the entrees including the kids entrees with everyone else's (except mine) but still no charcuterie board. When I asked about it, they said it would be out in a minute. It was another 15 minutes before they brought the charcuterie board out and everyone was almost finished with their meal already. And they never brought my meal out at all. They were very curt and I would say even rude and never apologized for the mistakes they made. On the other hand we were very gracious and accommodating and never let on that we were upset about anything until at the very end when they had forgotten to bring out my meal and I told them to just please take it off the bill. Again no apologies at all from them. And they still tacked on 18% gratuity no matter what kind of service we got.
3. The food: I ordered the octopus appetizer which they never brought out. I reminded them three times and when everyone else was finished eating, I just told them to forget it and not bring it out and to take it off the bill. So I never actually tasted the octopus. But I did have some bites of my daughter's branzino and it tasted like a frozen tilapia fillet that was thrown in a pan and overcooked. It was tough and thin and rubbery... nothing at all like the moist flaky branzino that I've had in other restaurants. I expected more from the Hyatt.
Needless to say I will never ever go back nor will I recommend this restaurant to anyone else. Hyatt, do better.
Food and service here was truly remarkable, our waiter had the best attitude and you could truly tell he loves his job! Overall we were very impressed with Harborwood, it exceeded our initial expectations of a lobby restaurant! Never judge a book by its cover because we’d never know to come back and visit them again in the future!
Pretty bad experience here. This place is connected to the Hyatt which was a great stay. But, the breakfast was a disaster from beginning. The coffee cup was dirty and once coffee poured, had to dig out debris. I ordered the huevos rancheros and they were super dry. Pretty much 3 eggs over dry nachos. So little beans as well which might as well use none. Eggs alone were ok. To finish it off, they add an 18% tip to your bill which is fine for good service but then waitress seemed upset when i didn’t add more tip. Horrible practice by Hyatt on this one. Tips are to be earned not, expected. Very disappointed and now two people are upset. Employee and customer. I would avoid this place completely for food. Plenty of great places close by.
Friendly wait staff. Modern clean esthetic. We came here twice during a three day stay. French Toast was one of the best we ever had!! (and we order it almost every time it's on a Menu). We also went to their "Taco Tuesday", their Shrimp Taco was SO good, juicy and flavorful. Drinks were made with care. We will be back next time we are in Las Olas.
Truly chef curated menuAmazing 10/10
Fantastic place in every way!
Great breakfast, friendly attentive staff, and a fantastic Cuban sandwich.
I just perused a few reviews and was surprised a bit by the ones on the staff (bartenders, etc..) because I was in during the (2023) Thanksgiving weekend & had a blast here! The food, well what I ordered was dynamite pure fire and the bartenders were amazing! Had old fashions to Jai Alais the night of FSU Vs. UF and there was a lot of friendly banter! I would give them 10 stars since my experience the last couple times was the same, dunno ?♀️ sometimes you get what you put out in return (karmic energy) but there are off nights, just that mine when I have visited were pretty on & on!!
Steak and eggs this morning. Fantastic and moist steak prepared perfectly with lovely light pepper-garlic butter sauce. Better than most steakhouses. Hidden gem in Hyatt.

very rude staff! i was waiting for a drink at the bar and they were on the phone for over 15 minutes, and then told me i had to leave unless i was drinking at the bar. Without even asking me if I wanted anything to drinki promptly left. what a bunch of clowns
We are in town visiting and staying in the Hyatt Centric Las Olas. This is our second visit here and we didn't think to try the lobby restaurant our first visit. We were starving when landed and decided to grab a Herb Crusted Chicken Sandwich. It was so good and all the ingredients were fresh. The fries were also tasty. They were seasoned and crispy. We came back later and ordered drinks and empanadas. The empanadas were delicious. I ordered a margarita and the watermelon well. They both were perfect. The service, food and drinks were so good we have been back multiple times a day lol. Today, Thad the wagyu sliders, empanadas, wings, fries and another watermelon well. Soo full of flavor and nice portions. We love the ambiance and as well. Deniel and his team treated us like family our entire stay. My fiancé is in hospitality so we really appreciate good food and service. We will definitely return before we leave tomorrow.
This restaurant is like a best kept secret. It’s located inside the Hyatt so it’s a little easy to miss.We ate here for breakfast. Our waitress, Cammel, greeted us upon entry and we seated ourself. Even though it was busy, service was great and fast. I mean within minutes she took our orders, returned with drinks and maybe 10-15 minutes later we were served our food. The menu offers a wide range of options, but not too many to be overwhelming. We got the blueberry pancakes, the All American Breakfast, the Frittata & the Shakshuka. Everything was delicious! Highly recommended.
My mom and I recently had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful restaurant during our travels from Atlanta, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. What truly made our visit exceptional was our server, Jordan. He was even a part of a "pay it forward" moment between our table and another table that picked up our bill on the first night. From the moment we walked in, Jordan greeted us with a warm and welcoming smile, instantly setting a positive tone for our meal. We immediately felt comfortable and knew we were in good hands. Jordan's attentiveness and friendly demeanor made us feel like valued guests throughout our entire dining experience. One of the standout aspects of our evening was Jordan's expert recommendations. As newcomers to the restaurant, we relied on Jordan's suggestions for our meal choices, and they did not disappoint. Jordan's knowledge of the menu was impressive, and each recommendation was spot on. The highlight of our dining experience was undoubtedly the BBQ flatbread, which Jordan recommended. It was so delectable that I couldn't resist ordering it two days in a row!
