IL Paesano Italian Gourmet Food Cafe, Deli and Wine Market

They have a bunch of different desserts. We got a couple of them and they all are 10/10. Haven’t had dinner at the place yet.

Walked in to have lunch and was looked at like, why was I there. I stated that I wanted to dine in. The gentleman looked at me as if I had two heads. He asked if I wanted a to go order. I asked if I had to make reservations, he told me yes. There were only two other ladies sitting inside. I have been looking forward to dining here for so long. I don’t see anywhere on the site that reservations are necessary it was 12:45 in the afternoon.

Arrogant and impolite owner. We went there for supper. We had a service dog and he refused to serve us. We offered to show him our service dog card and he said anyone can get those. I prefer to simply leave then to argue with a person who is ignorant. As a side note we previously had eaten there in the daytime and there was no issue. Yes, you guessed it, the place was empty when we went for lunch. Don’t spend your money there

Absolutely incredible! Definition of a hidden gem. The service and food were top notch. This felt like a family owned establishment where every dish was prepared with precision and care.

The only downside for us was they charged us a 3% processing fee for using our credit card. Found that to be a bit distasteful to pass on a processing fee to the customer

Really enjoyed my experience here. Reservations were easy to make, we were greeted and seated as soon as we entered. Service was excellent; food was delightful. There were many imported Italian products for sale around the dining room. Wine is a pick it yourself style. Chilled white wine is also available. We loved it and will definitely return!

Amazing meal! Vergilio and Paola always go above and beyond. The food was top-notch as always, and the staff couldn’t have been better. Such a warm, welcoming spot. Already looking forward to the next visit!

The atmosphere feels like you’re stepping into a true Italian family’s dining room — warm, intimate, and welcoming. One of the highlights is the small wine room you can step into to choose your bottle, which adds a unique touch you won’t find in most Italian restaurants.

It’s a small place, but full of charm. Great selection of wines and tasty appetizers make it ideal for wine lovers. As for the food, I’d rate the dishes around 7/10. My wife and I each ordered a main, and while it was enjoyable, the real standout here is the ambiance and overall experience. Worth a visit if you’re looking for a relaxed evening with that classic Italian family vibe.

This was is a wonderful gem in Ft. Lauderdale. The host is very welcoming and the food was absolutely delicious. You can definitely feel the love that goes into every plate on the menu.

Our first time here and I was so surprised by the cleanliness and atmosphere, it was a real Italian restaurant. Food and wine 🍷 was delightful. And attention to detail throughout our lunch was 10 out of 10. Definitely making it my go to restaurant while at my local office in Real Estate. A little hidden gem.
