Ambiance is beautiful!!! You will definitely get some nice pictures in the restaurant and the entertainment is fun as well. However, to me the food and service were just ok. Same for the drinks. They weren’t well mixed. Not the best in my opinion but if you don’t mind and just want to go for ambiance and a fun dinner party vibe, this is the place to go.
My family and I stayed here for 3 nights in Aug 2025 and were really appalled at how this property is run now (we stayed at the property several times in 2016-2018 with great experiences). Fast forwarding to 2025…HVAC system connecting to all rooms reeks of marijuana smoke funneling the strong pungent odor of burnt weed intermittently into the rooms via the bath vents and some air returns throughout the room. Management response was that medical marijuana is legal in the state of Florida and they can’t approach guests (this makes no sense if the property is non-smoking). After 2 days of smelling it, we told the front desk again and said it may be hotel staff smoking it. The front desk response was “I doubt it because they would be fired if they got caught. But, people who smoke it come to work and do their jobs well.” While I can appreciate a candid response, it was really evident a blind eye is passed to the sheer extent of how this property stinks of weed. At minimum, they should try to compensate with air freshener or ozone generators in the HVAC during unoccupied periods. Hotel furnishings are stained so bad it was comical (the light beige coastal themed linen lined couches, chairs, and bed frames really shows the blood, sunscreen, human oil, and god knows what else). The appliances in the kitchen (oven/cooktop/dishwasher/microwave) were never renovated and from circa 2005 with broken gaskets, covered in rust/stains, and hardly operational. Rooms are filthy as well as hallways (very apparent the hallways are either never vacuumed or done on a monthly basis). If you are planning on using a sofa bed, think again. We opened it up and there was so much dirt, crumbs, and debris that you would except from couch cushions that weren’t vacuumed in years. The mattress itself in the sofa bed was again comical how bad it was stained with the fabric split on the sides directly exposing the metal springs which looked like bent slinky toys jammed into a sleeping bag from a thrift store. Hilton provided images on their website and social media are very deceiving of the purported renovation. Also, NOT a family friendly environment. Guests staying here were extremely ghetto (there is no other word to describe the behavior) and acting as if it was an adults-only all inclusive in Jamaica. Getting hammered-drunk at the pool while having intercourse in front of families only to be taken out by stretcher/ambulance the next day in the lobby (actually happened on a Wednesday). Hotel staff kept serving them drinks during the day and never intervened. The staff by the pool were again, apparent Haitians with dread locks having private conversations with one another at the towel station. The one time I approached the towel station to get 4 towels for my family, the young girl advised they only had 2 left. They never restocked it within the next 45 min and we left dripping wet walking back to our room. There is a rooftop bar on the 26th floor (21 years +) which is not part of the Hilton that opens at 2pm which can be accessed via a dedicated elevator in the middle of the lobby. Locals (more ghetto people) come off the street for happy hour and mill around until they are carded in the lobby by a dedicated bouncer which again creates a non-family environment. Pretty much entire front and back of the house with the exception of management appears to be Haitian immigrants with an attitude/demeanor is that is not warm or inviting. Do not be fooled by the pictures or marketing. Do yourself a favor and pay slightly more to stay at the Conrad or 4 Seasons next door.
This was the 8th time we’ve stayed here. We’ve always had a great experience but this year changed. First the toilet had numerous issues. Then we were woken up to a gas leak/horrible smell at 12:30am. We reported it to the front desk and were told it was “normal” because they release the gas from the rooftop bar. The smell kept getting worse so they sent an engineer up to confirmed the smell but there was nothing he could do because it’s “safe & normal” and others smelled it too. After the smell kept getting worse, we went to the front lobby and was told this happens a lot because of the restaurants, it’s normal, and that we could be moved but it wouldn’t guarantee the smell would be gone. He recommended we wait to speak to the manager the next day (and were told the manager would call us but never did) which we did, and was told we were the only to complain, insinuating we were making it up. We go on vacation to relax and get away from stress but we lost a night of sleep due to the natural gas smell. Natural gas smell in a hotel room is not safe or normal. The service was awful this year.
Food was okay but a bit on the lack luster side. Flavor had potential but presentation and amount for what you pay was a bit small. The inside is beautiful but hardly anyone inside. Outside they have a few pool side tables but it’s very windy and could be a bit more appealing. Waitress was excellent.
My family arrived at the hotel at 10 PM after flying from the northeast, only to find that our reservation was not honored due to a flood in the room above us. The hotel refused to offer alternative accommodations and simply offered to call a cab, which they said they might reimburse if I kept the receipt. My 6-year-old daughter was in tears, realizing we had no place to stay. This experience reflects poorly on Hilton's hospitality. Arriving at Hilton Fort Lauderdale only to face such disrespect, especially with young children, is completely unacceptable. Shame on you.
People come to Florida to escape the cold - until they get to Illios, where you do your best with senseless AC abuse to freeze them to death.
The staff is freezing, the customers are freezing....
Get with it folks!
I didn't have high hopes for a pool-side restaurant, but I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious Lobster roll with a claw and good chunks of lobster and a fresh French fries. My husband's sandwich chicken sandwich was good and packed full of tomato and lettuce and was filling.
Twanna, our waitress, was warm and friendly and made us feel welcome and happy to be there.

Came during a hurricane, whoopsy, but Arlene went above and beyond to take care of us, especially after our first server, Karen, forgot to bring us waters and told us we weren’t allowed to sit inside due to a “private event”. It was windy, there was no private event, and my husband and I walked in and were treated so well by Arlene! I hope to god Karen didn’t get a penny from the tip money! 10/10 Would recommend this place, but make sure you ask for Arlene, so you don’t get stuck with Karen!

We had breakfast here twice while we were here and I loved it. You can watch the waves in the ocean while you eat. The staff is absolutely the best. The hostess ( I do not know here name was curtious and helpful. Our server Arlene needs a raise. If you decide to eat here, please request Arlene, you will not be disappointed but I'm sure all the staff is great. We will be coming back.

My family and I enjoyed the quality of food and service at Ilios during our stay. The staff, especially Arlene, is incredibly attentive and friendly. She remembered details of our orders between days and made our breakfast every morning more enjoyable. Great experience and would highly recommend!

I had breakfast here while staying at the Hilton. The food was just okay. I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here if you are not staying at the Hilton. The views are nice and the staff were exceptional but the bar area had a mildew / wet rag smell to it.

My husband and I came here for the breakfast package we added onto our room staying at the Hilton. We had Petrone as our waitress 2 days in a row and she was the best!! Above and beyond service :) Also, highly recommend the Greek avocado toast, and their coffee is so good ?
