Patty nasty

I had the curry goat since the oxtail was sold out. & man! It didn’t disappoint.

I went there just to go, at first glance place looks nice but it seems only the chef is friendly, patty is not authentic, coco bread is the worse coco bread I've ever eaten,and a can of soda is 225 that is highway robbery..would not be visiting again

I was craving oxtail and decided to give Island Joe’s a call since their oxtail is one of the best I’ve had. Their website, Google listing, and even the sign on their door all clearly state that they close at 5:30 PM.

At 5:00 PM, right after work, I called twice—no answer. I decided to drive there anyway and arrived at 5:11 PM, only to find the doors locked. Meanwhile, the cashier was sitting at a table on her phone, and another employee was outside in his car.

If your hours have changed, they should be updated online and on the door. At the very least, someone could have answered the phone to inform customers that they were closed instead of having people show up just to be turned away.

Great food, but poor communication and unreliable hours.

The Manish water goat soup hit the spot 10 ☆ oxtail great rum and raisin ice cream all very satisfying

Food maybe alright, but the service here is lacking. Walking through the door, NO ONE greets you. A rather rotund lady with tats, behind the counter, looks like she's in a bad mood, always. Overall, I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Great service and the food was authentic and tasty!

Had the curry chicken and brown stew chicken meals. The chicken was so tender it falls off the bone. My kids said it was the best curry chicken they ever had! Great food, at great prices.

I always look at bad reviews first, but when I sat a GEM for me, that's real! First off, they're 100 authentic because they even have soup. I think some people get used to knock-offs and can't stomach REAL island cuisine. And FYI, ask for extra gravy or gravy in general on your rice because they're not mind readers, this is something I just know. Island Joe is good with me, and if I'm back in the area, trust me, I'll stop here. And side note, the lady was very nice and wasn't in any way rude, so maybe someone was out to sabotage.

We came in about a week or so ago and met a kind staff. It was a couple hours til closing so a lot of the stuff we wanted was either sold out or not made that day. We settled for curry chicken and fried chicken.
Glad we still ordered bc both meals were good! The curry was rich and the meat was so tender. Fried chicken was a tad dry but flavorful and the skin was nice and crispy. We will be returning.

Before walking in, you can smell the food from outside. It smelled good...but I ordered 2 meat patties. They were smaller than most Jamaican patties I've had. The filling was seasoned nice. The crust wasn't flaky but had a slight sweet taste. Overall it was good.

I’m actually sitting on the toilet writing this! The food is terrible, I ordered the jerk chicken, the chicken wasn’t cleaned properly smh. Restaurants gotta do better! I typically don’t eat out but sometimes when you’re working a 60-70 hour work week you have no choice. But this is ain’t it save yourself!!!!
