Amazing outdoor ambience. Anniversary couldn't have been more perfect. Was too loud inside and even though my husband reserved a booth, they were kind enough to accommodate so we can enjoy each other's company on the patio. Spacious and well lit. Amazing food and efficient service!

I have not been here in over 20 years. So happy to see it's still here. I happen to be in the neighborhood last night with a friend. Her 1st time trying this restaurant. When we left she said "the food was on fire" I started laughing..."fire" is a good thing....Food and service were on point and will return when back in fort Lauderdale. Thank you amazing.

Food was fine but you need to know the smell at your south east bar is offensive. The glade air freshener you have placed at the bar isn’t cutting it. $177 to eat while smelling drains that need to cleansed isn’t ok. Taking a break until this is corrected.

The loaded baked potato I order for delivery was not what I'd expected having had it numerous times during dine in. The portion of cheese and bacon is not enough. The potato itself bared a little crunch. I'm quite disappointed given the cost for the potato.

As, many times as I've frequent this restaurant today was truly the worst experience I've ever had. After, Our waiter brought us the tab and walked away...Shortly after another waiter came over and took the payment. As, we began to walk out the front door the waiter ran out accusing us of not paying for our meal. I explained that another waiter took our payment and she said OK...NO APOLOGIZE AT ALL. I walked out to the car but I decided to turn around and notify the manager. Once again I explained what happened to the manager and he said it was normal behavior for the waiters to approach customers about payment in that manner. The manager than begin to ask me how I would've approach this situation. I told him that the waiter who took our payment should've notified the our waiter that a payment was received and not make it a normal behavior to run out the front behind people. I was very disappointed that the had a manager nonchalant attitude about this treatment of customers.

We have dined at J Alexander's many times at different locations. Our last visit which was our fourth at the Ft. Lauderdale location was not up to our prior visits. I called the manager and left a voicemail. She returned my call the next day and I did not notice the voicemail from her. She called again and was very apologetic and more than took care of my problem. I could not have asked for more. Her response made my family a life long customer!

We had an exquisite meal this evening at J Alexander's! Deion and the wonderful young lady he was training provided excellent service, and the Maui Ribeye, Baby Back Ribs, and Filet Mignon were all absolutely perfect. The sides were wonderful as well. The dining room was a little dim for us old folks, but still set a nice mood. We are already talking about coming back! Thanks also to Reed, the general manager, for his friendly service on the phone when I made the reservation.

Gamba made the experience at J Alexander’s Fort Lauderdale very pleasurable. He made great recommendations, and was truly attentive to our needs. I had the baby back barbecue ribs with shoe string fries and coleslaw; this is recommended. You won’t be dissatisfied!

First time visitor, as some local friends brought me here for dinner. The Caesar salad was delicious. My veggie burger was the best one I have ever had. My former favorite was at Houston's. Just sayin'. If you're a vegan or not, this is a great meal! Hope to find more restaurants affiliated with this restaurant group!

Loved the nice relaxed atmosphere, not loud, romantic environment. Food was great.
Our server Andres was very knowledgeable and polite. Ask for Andres if you pass by.
