Cartlon needs a new job. Theres no way he is overwhelmed without a full bar and & he is cursing loudly with children present. Disgustingly embarrassing.
The bar atmosphere was tense and the patrons where afraid to ask him for anything. He treats his older woman hispanic coworker like trash. As well as them not having simple ingredients like cheese for nachos. Glad to be boarding soon…

The food is fine. Obviously overpriced. The server was very nice. But there's a hidden service charge fee. I tipped 18% but turned out I already paid 18% as a service charge. Rip off.

Is it the $8/each tacos? Yes. Is it the $18 quesadilla that tastes like it's from Taco Bell? Also yes. Is it the cold beans served with lukewarm rice? Still, yes. Could it be the forced 18% gratuity when you order and pay entirely from your phone? You're not going to believe this. The answer is, yes! Yes this is the worst airport meal I think I've ever had.

Johnny was my bartender & Adriana my server - they were both THE BEST VIBE ❤️ I had just missed my flight and was bummed that I was stuck at the airport but I saw “La Familia” and knew tacos and tequila would fix everything- but GOOD people make all the difference & I was so happy I stopped here :) thank you both for a beautiful Saturday see you next time mucho amor xx

I sat at the and the bartender was terrific. The beer was cold and he was very attentive. I ordered the mani tacos and they were awful. Chewy and I’m sure came out of a plastic bag and into the microwave. Place has a nice vibe but a shame the food is so bad.

My food and margarita came to $43. I tipped the bartender in cash. Two weeks later when I went to my credit card website to download a receipt I now see the bartender charged my card $101!!

I had the 3 street tacos— they’re sized like 3 regular tacos (not street style) but the portions were great compared to the price. Portion sizes didn’t slack but the flavor profile did. If your palette preference is very little enhancement (or no flavor profile), I think you’ll be very satisfied. I think being a Miami restaurant, fun flavors should be an automatic.

If you have 30 minutes waiting time, do not stop here….for a simple quedadilla they took ages.
Non-disclosed 18% service charge for the worst burger I have ever eaten in my entire life. I’m 100% sure it was microwaved, bun burger and all. It came with about a square centimeter of lettuce on it. I had to take sips of water in between bites because it was drying my mouth out. Server was very good and was nice to us. When I walked out my shoes had started sticking to the ground from something on the floor I didn’t see.
Loaded guacamole is so sad. Pico is just a hit in the bottomnof the guacamole cup (which is mainly sour cream). And don’t bother to melt the cheese…..
Only thing it’s loaded with is false expectations.
Couldn’t even get food because we just got ignored the whole time, and the app they have doesn’t even work. Apparently there are only two people running this place and they are both extremely slow and couldn’t care less.
All of the FLL eateries-bars seem to have mediocre reviews. Our delayed flight allowed us time to experience this restaurant/cafe with great ambiance and record speed service (both drinks and food). We enjoyed draft Stella, the Pomelo and House Margarita (very good). Also had Loaded Guac, which had a side of very little guac and sour cream (odd for the higher price). The chips were fresh and delicious, with black beans and shredded cheese (a healthy portion), although no attempt to melt. I enjoyed the Baja Pork Sandwich and fresh-cut fries (but my husband found the sandwich a bit salty - it was the ham, which I didn't mind, especially with the delicious chipotle sauce). It's pricey, but perhaps not so much given limited airport terminal options. But, the best part of our experience was our server, Adriana, who was intuitive (brought us a laminated menu when she saw us struggling to read from our phones) and super attentive and courteous given she was the cafe's only server. She was also very attentive with the couple seated next to us, not only with their requests, but also bringing toy paper eyeglasses to their toddler.
