Food was terrible! Steak was extremely extremely burnt and overcooked. I asked them to sub my rice with a simple avocado. They charged me $5.99 for it!!! They didn’t say nothing to me so I didn’t notice. Never ever going back!

The 2 tamales for corn flour sucked BS just a tiny bit of meat in too much corn paste!!! The woman I think the owner made up for it by giving my food for free tamales. You really did suck so horrible I wish you put more white chicken meat in them!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this fantastic amazing outstanding Mexican/Salvadoran restaurant called La Mixteca located in Fort Lauderdale Florida, They also have a food truck located in Davie Boulevard named Taco Mobile Reyes and I highly do recommend you definetly attend if you’re in the Davie boulevard area, But I did attend the restaurant in Fort Lauderdale and I must say, it was an amazing outstanding latin cuisine place to enjoy such an amazing meal and be at! The moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted and was attended immediately providing one of the most top services ever from placing in our orders to making sure we enjoyed the meals. Being very attentive and their friendly demeanor truly showed what a great food restaurant dining experience is all about. Talk about nothing but great foods especially a Hispanic cuisine whether it’s breakfast or lunch you won’t ever forget the amazing taste and seasoning they cook with. My God it’s to die for especially with every last bite I took, it was absolutely delicious! Every dish was bursting with an authentic Mexican/Salvadoran seasoning and an authentic mixed flavors and prepared with the utmost care, attention you can ever imagine and wish for especially at a restaurant like La Mixteca. There are a variety of different meals to savory and die for like there famous tacos to there deliciously great burritos etc. I myself couldn’t help but have a savory for there well seasoned Grilled Shrimp with a well cooked white rice and black beans and a side of sweet plantains and seasoned fries to the mouthwatering grilled Churrasco also accompanied with a well cooked vegetable yellow rice and red beans and along a side of sweet plantains, each bite transported me to the culture of what Mexico and El Salvador is really all about. Evidently the cooks and chefs take highly great pride in their craftsmanship and are dedicated to serving traditional, high-quality cuisine. The ambiance of the restaurant was also delightful, with a vibrant look and the music that played in the back did add on to the overall charm and attention from the servers and chill vibe. Whether you're dining with friends, family, or even on a romantic date, this place has the perfect atmosphere for any occasion. Overall, I cannot recommend this Mexican/Salvadoran restaurant highly enough. With the servers and waitresses providing us with the exceptional service and the food being truly top-notch and traditional, it's definitely deserving of five stars. I cannot wait to return for another unforgettable dining experience with family and friends and a date and really recommend this place to all and for me it is an honor to say that this is one of the best Latin restaurants I have been in my local area.
