Went to Lona Cocina for Taco and Tequila Tuesday while in Fort Lauderdale. Angie and Shae really fixed us up some great tacos. Plenty of meat and any toppings you could possibly want (pico, guac, pineapple, salsa, peppers, onions, cilantro…) and they served everyone cheerfully with big smiles! Outdoor seating and delicious margs made for a great happy hour.

Food is mediocre at best and service isn't great either. We were ignored by our server and then she had an attitude with us when she did actually come around. We even had to wave her down to get water. Don't recommend this place for anything other than bar drinks

I am intolerant to cilantro and specifically requested no cilantro since I’m allergic. The food came without cilantro on top, but it still had some since I ate one taco and had to vomit. I spent all my night vomiting. Worst experience ever, unacceptable for the staff to ignore an ALERGY related request. Also the tacos’s tortillas fell apart.

Our group of six had a fabulous time, with a beautiful view of the ocean along the A1A. Richard, our server, was charming and attentive. He was an adorable addition to our night. I wish we got a photo with him, but as luck would have it we passed him on the freeway and we were so excited to see him again! Please enjoy the Lobster quesadilla, pitcher of margaritas, and never change, Dickie.
We arrived 8:30 ish on Saturday evening. We did not have a reservation but there were plenty of open tables. They were able to seat us immediately which was the best part of our dining experience. It didn't take too long to take our drink and appetizer orders (15 minutes). However we waited over 45 minutes for them to arrive and they forgot one of the appetizers. I told the waitress just to remove it from the order. Several times during the evening my husband and I considered walking out. By the time our entrees came we had lost track of the time and again one of the orders was not correct. I pointed it out and she went off to fix it. I did not see her again until we were given the bill.We did not make a big scene, just ate what we could, paid our bill and left. I have NEVER written a review before. I hope this restaurant will hire more staff or something so that this doesn't happen to someone else. I will not return to this restaurant!!!

☀️Tequila and Lobster and Ocean Views, oh my! Transport instantly to vacation vibes at Lona Cocina Tequileria! Our visit was a refreshing reminder of why South Florida living is unbeatable. We enjoyed delectable cocktails, exceptional cuisine and soaked in the stellar atmosphere. Tequila Tower is a show stopper and Lobster Quesidillas full of fresh meat. ? Pro Tips ? Valet at The Westin FTL Beach is reduced when dining at Lona. As well, their Taco Tuesday specials are outrageous — $5 build your own tacos and $5 lona margaritas from 3-7PM [did we mention the view?!]

We used to be common customers for Lona's we will not be returning again. We had 12:15 reservations for bottomless brunch to enjoy my Fiancé's birthday and at 1:35 we were told that the drinks would be cut off. Mind you we had to ask our server, Ignacio, several times for our "bottomless" refills, in which doing so had to wait about 10-15 minutes just to receive our drinks. We understand that Sundays for unlimited brunch can be packed and we have no issue waiting. However each and every time we had asked our server for something as little as salt and pepper shakers, we were answered with an attitude and unpleasant tone. As a party of about 12 we had only had about 1-2 drinks each and were absolutely flabbergasted when we were told that the drinks would not be available and we find it even more inappropriate that our server denies us our refills because according to him we were too "drunk." As I stated before we used to absolutely love Lona's and it was our go-to restaurant but I will NO longer ever come back and I will make sure to never recommend this place to any friends or family members again.

DANG I was extremely impressed by this place. Exceptional and fast service, delicious lump crab guacamole and Baja fish tacos. Being raised in so cal I’m used to good fish tacos but these blew expectations out of the water. Super fresh, creamy and very filling. Plus, you’re right on the beach and the prices are moderate! 10/10 would recommend this to anyone visiting, was impressed.
