As always it is a wonderful dining experience when we go to Marti's New River Bistro. I am SO SADDENED to know that it will be the last brunch that we have there. Your server Joey is absolutely the best, sorry to say we did not have him on Saturday and the one we did have was a little ditzy. But in spite of her we had a wonderful meal and a great time. I only wish it was not closing.

I'm incredibly sorry, but the current owners seem to lack business sense. Closing and demolishing Marti's makes no sense since it is very convenient to go to the theatre.

We are soooo upset that Marti's is closing. Dinner and walking across to the theater made for a wonderful evening. Whoever's idea it was to close Marti's has made a BIG MISTAKE!

We tried Marti's for brunch before a performance at the Broward Center (we are season ticket holders.). The food was mediocre at best, and the customer experience was utterly lacking.
We ordered short rib flatbread, which was very very dry. Luckily they bring iced tea to the table by the carafe.
The steak & egg sandwich contained meat that was actually raw. Not rare, raw. Conversely, the salmon was ordered medium rare and came out overcooked. The fries were completely unseasoned - no salt, no flavor. The ancient grain salad was missing ancient grains - it was mainly arugula and some cherry tomatoes.
All of this could presumably been fixed, but it was exceptionally hard to get things rectified. The servers were extremely nice but clearly did not want to ask the chef for anything additional / substituted, no matter how simple the request. We asked for an egg over easy instead of sunny side up and were told that the ONLY way eggs could be prepared was sunny side up. Not even scrambled. We asked for horseradish or even just some extra sauce and were told no. It just made the experience more difficult and stressful than it needed to be. There are plenty of other places within walking distance of the theater that have great food and service - we will be dining at those from now on.

We always have enjoyed fine dining and service at Marti's before or after shows at the Broward Center, but were saddened to learn that it will be closing and converting to a lounge as this season ends. Very disappointing news! There are already venues inside the theatre for drinks but really nowhere else on site for a proper meal before the theatre, which really was convenient and added to having a pleasurable experience. I hope that the owners might reconsider their decision as it is not what the theatre patrons would prefer-everyone in the restaurant was talking about this unfortunate turn.

Service was great with Joey again. Kitchen did not prepare one of the meals as requested, had to send it back. Otherwise, a great place for a dinner before shows at the Broward Center.

Big mistake closing this excellent pre theater restaurant to open a club. Whose great idea was this?

I will be forever grateful for the most pleasant dining experiences that I have had at this restaurant for a long time. I am so sad to say that my dining there this past Saturday will be my last one since it will be closing in a week. To the Staff, the Chef and the ambience ...A BIG Thank You! You had the perfect combination! I doubt I will find another place to dine before theater that will even come close. Wishing you all nothing but the best in your new endeavors. S. Michael Ereshena

Absolutely great experience. They have a prefixed menu, the table is yours for the night and they ensure you get out with plenty of time if your going the the show. The staff is very friendly and the food was delicious . I was very sad to hear that after the 2024/2025 Broadway in Florida season, the CEO of the Broward Center is closing the restaurant and it will be closed for 2 years as the demolition and make turn the restaurant into a lounge with tapas and drinks. HUGE mistake as they will not get the pre-show clients. People want dinner before the show. He could have served dinner before the show and have drinks/tapas/music after the show. Many people are unhappy and us season ticket holders have not been notifies, I only found out from the wonderful staff who are loosing their jobs.

We have eaten here many times over the last four years before a show and enjoyed the convenience and the variety of meal choices on the prix fix menus. Tonight's included dinner choices were disappointing and certainly not worth the price. Offering a steak sandwich only well done was not acceptable. We will no longer eat here before upcoming shows.

Joey is an amazing server! He makes the dining experience at Marti's so much fun. We went for brunch before the Michael Jackson show (show was fabulous). We had the shrimp cocktail, chicken lettuce wraps. Bagel and salad with salmon. And the mini croissants are yummy! All wonderful!

The host was kind and found our party of 3 a nice table with a view of the intercostal waterway. Our waiter did not explain the price fixe menu well and did not take our drink order. I had to flag him down and ask about drink options. When I asked about tea and coffee, he ran off to get the “tea box” without asking me for my preference. There was no one refilling the water gasses on the table. Finally, the food itself was very average; wilted salad, dry protein and desert that tasted like it was thawed from the freezer. The only reason to dine at this establishment is due to convenient location to the Au Rene Theater. We will not be coming back anytime soon.

THE NEW BRUNCH MENU OFFERINGS WERE DELICIOUS - OUR TABLE OF 6 ORDERED A VARIETY OF ITEMS AND ALL WERE TASTY AND CREATIVE. OUR SERVER WAS ALSO OUTSTANDING THE VIEW OF THE NEW RIVER WAS BEAUTIFUL ON A BRIGHT SUNNY DAY

Excellent meatball appetizer served lukewarm followed by a very creative capon dish that probably dried out over an hour ago. The menu change is for the worst. Bring back the fillet mignon that was always perfect
