Dear Sabrina,

I am writing to bring to your attention an unfortunate incident that occurred at your Cafe and Bakery located at 420 SE 6th Ave. 33301 on September 23, 2024, at approximately 10:00 AM.

One of your employees, an African American woman named Erica, displayed unprofessional and unpleasant behavior towards me while I was attempting to make a purchase. When I pointed out a specific bread item that I was interested in, she repeatedly insisted that I state the name of the bread in a condescending and rude tone of voice.

This behavior not only caused unnecessary frustration and inconvenience for me as a customer but also left a negative impression of your establishment. As a fellow restaurant owner, I understand the importance of valuing both the quality of food and the customer service experience.

I kindly request that you review the security camera footage from the aforementioned date and time to gain a better understanding of the situation. It is my hope that appropriate measures will be taken to ensure that similar incidents do not occur in the future, ensuring a positive and welcoming environment for all customers.

Came in for breakfast. Limited pre-made menu. Husband ordered a latte and cheese danish. I ordered a veggie breakfast bun (egg, spinach & sundried tomato) and latte. Total bill $17.64. Handed the person a $20 bill. She returned $2 and clearly had no plan to return the rest. I chose to look at it as a required "tip" but am not a fan of this practice. We still have coins for a reason.

The food that arrived at our table was a black coffee and cherry danish, latte and breakfast bun. The person did offer to exchange the wrong coffee but I figured it was less hassle to just add a ton of creamer myself.

The breakfast bun was dry and flavorless. I added mayo to see if it would help. Not enough.

This was my second time ordering a cake here, and just like the first time, it was a huge hit! I ordered a cake for my best friend’s 25th birthday, and everyone loved it. The cake was stunning and absolutely delicious. Sabrina was amazing throughout the whole process—super accommodating, quick to respond, and exceeded our expectations again. Thank you so much for another beautiful and delicious cake! Highly recommend!

I recently had the pleasure of attending a cake decorating class at New River Bakery, led by the incredible Chef Sabrina, who has been featured on Netflix and Food Network. This unique class is like a sip and paint, but with cake decorating, and it includes bottomless mimosas and a light bite brunch with delicious options like lobster rolls.

The class is held inside the charming New River Bakery, creating a perfect setting to learn, socialize, and have fun. Chef Sabrina is a fantastic instructor, guiding us through the cake decorating process with expertise and enthusiasm.

What’s even more impressive is that everything at New River Bakery is made in-house, so you can enjoy their amazing treats during the class and also purchase them to take home.

I highly recommend this class for anyone looking to have a fun and delicious experience. Chef Sabrina and New River Bakery have created something truly special, and I can’t wait to return!

Appealing cafe and bakery located right at Water Taxi Stop One. I had a well made double espresso and delectable handmade chocolate truffles. Everything is made in house. Service was exceptional. Just one little issue which was quickly resolved. I requested half and half but they only had milk or those little plastic tubs of creamer so as a substitution they gave me heavy cream. Very minimal outdoor seating (4 people). Prices are moderate. Will definitely come back.

I recently ordered a birthday cake from New River Café for my daughter’s birthday, which was incredible. From the moment I walked into the place, I was greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The service was great from beginning to end.
I opted for their cookies and cream cake, which did not disappoint. The cake was beautifully decorated, with intricate details (picture attached), making it look almost too good to eat. The flavor was out of this world. It was sweet but not too sweet, with a moist and fluffy texture that melted in your mouth. The frosting was rich and creamy, complementing the cake layers perfectly.

What impressed me the most was the attention to detail and the ingredients' quality. You could tell that everything was made from scratch with a lot of love and care.

Overall, everything exceeded my expectations. The cake was delicious and a beautiful centerpiece for my baby’s first birthday. I highly recommend this bakery to anyone looking for a special treat for their next event.
