Just had our first experience at Peak 9. Honestly one of the best cups of coffee I have had in a long time. The crepes are made as you wait and are delicious! Place is owned by two brothers who really care about the business. It’s a bit off the beaten track for tourists but is close enough to Lauderdale by the Sea for a good walk with the rewards of an excellent cup of coffee. (On Commercial Blvd just past Bayview on the South side).

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Service, Cappuccinos, Croissants, Goat Cheese Soufflé, and Focaccia. Croissant just right - not overly moist (personal preference), Focaccia a cloud with nice crunch, Coffees some of the best we have had in the area.
Prices, reasonable. We will definitely return.

If you like coffee then Peak 9 won't disappount you. We ordered 2 flat whites and a cappuccino. Crema was smooth, cup filled to the top and not too hot, so easy to drink.
Croissants were crunchy outside but a bit too firm on the inside. Usually they are supposed to be light and airy inside.
Service is friendly, caring and fast.
Only downside is the interior that is a bit cold and uninviting. As mentioned in another review, "Grateful café", that is opposite Peak 9 wins in terms of ambiance and interior design, which is more inviting. However, quality of products, efficiency in service is better at Peak 9.
So, go see yourself, try both of these places and make up your mind on which you prefer.
For the area, both are propably the best options if you want to start your day with a good coffee.

My puppy had a vet visit next door. While I was waiting for him to get out. I placed an order for a banana, strawberry Nutella crêpe. Once my dog got out. I brought him to peaks night. Where we shared the banana along with his medicine, he needed to take. Without the bananas from peak nine my dog would not have ate his medicine. I have a happy dog and a happy customer and the crate was amazing. The owners also gave me a biscuit to take home for him. Thank you pig nine for making our experience special.
