I'm super critical about Haitian food because I am half Haitian. I saw multiple recommendations to rating the business 5*'s. So, I said why not?! Visited here for lunch today, I had the turkey stew, black beans and rice and fried plantains. Nothing excited me more about having a Haitian option in the area. Piman cafe is somewhat rundown but the food isn't. The sign saying "Piman", above the front is faded. And since it isn't electric you can't really see it. The area to order had fliers for CDP lisences and other ads. The four sit down tables weren't super clean but had a nice fake plant. I wasn't the typical demographic. Food was amazing. They did not disappoint. The rice was fresh tasting and their friend goat was very tender. The service could have been a little better, but it could also be that they were finishing up for the night. I would definitely eat here again, they do not skimp on the sauces.
