The staff here are rather nice and the food is excellent. It used to be very different with mean staff members but the disposition of the staff has changed significantly since I went there initially.
I want to start off by saying I love pollo tropical its one of my all time favorite spots to eat. There is a locations only about 5-10 min away that will give a way better experience on Oakland park. I am always on the move so ive had the experience of eating at alot of different locations and one thing in common is friendly warm welcoming customer service. The other night at this location i experience the complete opposite. I asked for some sauces and onions and peppers with my meal I went threw the drive threw. Unfortunately the sauces and onions and peppers were not in the bag. I should have checked while I was there. I went back to ask for them and the manager freaked out on me demanding to see a receipt which I either lost or was never given to begin with. I even offered to pay and was met with a HARD NO. I do not recommend this location.

When did they start slaughtering the chicken for the family meal? I’m used to the chicken being quartered and being able to see I have 2 breasts, thighs, legs, wings. Seems the chickens are smaller because my slaughtered wing and drumstick could’ve been sold as a hot wing from wing stop. Also my large order of plantains were slightly burnt and crispy

OMG Im not sure if you guys changed ur recipe but pls keep it bc your chicken was to die for, the meat just fell off the bone and they gave a very very good amount, I will DEFINITELY be going back!!

A nice quiet location along N. Federal Highway offering a variety of marinated grilled chicken platters, sandwiches, tropichops, wraps, etc. Their chicken soup, in my opinion, is so delicious. Full of tender pieces of chicken and veggies in a flavorful broth that truly warms the soul.
I really enjoy coming here because the staff is very polite and friendly. Especially Christine at the checkout, she’s always smiling and very attentive. And $8.50 for lunch is a really good deal.

I asked for a simple change to have the rice in a separate container, and the cook refused and gave me attitude. It’s basic customer service to accommodate small requests, but they clearly don’t care. Won’t be coming back. If I could I would give it 0 stars

Everyone wearing gloves except one guy and the manager passed right by him and didn't tell him to put on gloves and he went to the bathroom and right by to work didn't wash his hands the guy cashier is friendly but everyone else looks mad and doesn't speak even the manager
