We were there for the Easter brunch. Honestly, the beef & lamb served I wouldn’t feed to a dog. Shameful!
The desserts & mash potatoes were good.Oh, it sure costed lots of $$ too. Waiter/server was five stars!
We attended the special brunch for Easter at the Marriott Harbor Beach ballroom. Upon entering the ballroom lobby, we were immediately greeted by a dessert buffet that was beautifully decorated and showcased a large array of dessert choices, some too pretty to eat! Once entering the ballroom, there was a duo playing the perfect dining music setting the tone. The ballroom was set up with food stations representing everything from snow crab claws, shrimp & oysters. Charcuterie stations displayed a great antipasto selection and every choice was absolutely fresh and delicious. Table decor & decor at the various food stations was lovely and ideal for Easter. Candy peeps peered out from the grass utilized in the centerpiece at each table together with hidden wrapped chocolate. There was an omelet station with cooks attending, & continuous buffet tables with fresh fish, & vegetable dishes, & carving station with lamb, prime rib, and ham. The servers were fantastic, continuously clearing our table between courses and attending our every need. The cost of this event is higher, but for a holiday I would highly recommend. The food was delicious, fresh and well prepared. Inside ballroom, or outside patio seating was offered.
Very disappointed in the quality of my breakfast. I opted to stay at the hotel for breakfast while my husband attended a conference and while the presentation was good, the quality was not. The eggs were undercooked, the breakfast potatoes were very hard, very little ground sausage included and there was no seasoning on the hash I ordered. Very bland and most of it I did not eat. It was definitely not worth the steep price of my meal or the overpriced breakfast beverages. I would not recommend and I’m surprised there are so many good reviews. My waitress Rosa was very kind but not very attentive for the fact that there weren’t many of us to wait on since the breakfast buffet was also available.
Crappy high priced cold food.
The bologna and cheese omelet was cold, as was the toast. Hash browns fried to a crispy block of hard prices.
All that for $30+.
Breakfast was delicious & sitting outside was beautiful!
Food was ok, but the manager or head server(Mitch) was rude. I booked my reservation via open table and I had to put my credit card in to book it, so when it was time leave my subpar dining experience at riva I asked my server if it was prepaid, showing her that my card with the price reflected was on the open table app. She didn't know and so went to get her manager (Mitch). Next thing I know, he's yelling across the restaurant “nothing is prepaid”. He then proceeds to get to my table and is still yelling (now at me and my mother), and we're just looking at him dumbfounded as his reaction was completely unwarranted. Think he realized how silly he was being when I didn't react to his response and just simply asked him to confirm that my card would not be charged from the open table app. I suggest Marriott invest in training of its employees with respect to how they react and respond when a patron asks a question.
Breakfast with Santa was absolutely terrible and there was nothing special. There was no decorations. No activities for the kids at all. Santa was just sat on a chair with a red blanket thrown over it, sat in front of a fire exit. This has to be the worst Santa experience my kids have ever been to and they are 10 & 13. None of the photo's even came out because he was sat in front of a window so you cannot see anyone. This is so expensive and there was absolutely nothing different from sitting in any cafe or restaurant. We never got any hot chocolate or anything “Christmas”. Also the price of $49 per adult and $24 is super expensive. It'a meant to include tip and taxes? We have been charged a lot more for 4 adults and 2 kids???? We would have rather sat in Riva, which is where we thought we were going to sit and had nice views. Instead we were in another room. No views. It really was a terrible experience. I do not recommend any family go to this. A waster of money and nothing for your money. This was our only planned activity for Christmas as we are going away and we feel highly disappointed! Very sad!
Highly enjoyed our Thanksgiving buffet. Excellent quality of food, many choices, delightful presentation, ambitious menu, ambience lovely, music excellent. So happy I chose to come here with my family.
Accommodating to our needs but long wait times for service (drinks or anything other than help yourself buffet)

To be fair, review is not really reflective of restaurant as the thanksgiving buffet was setup in a convention ballroom that seemed to be run as banquet function not Riva. We were ok to enjoy nice weather outside and the ocean view minus the work vehicle beeping as he loaded items for a bit. However we just expected a different ambiance thinking we'd be in a restaurant being our first time here for the holiday meal. Food had a good variety and was ok but not hot. Turkey was dry and prime rib was well done. The servers were very polite but not by our table often. They should have a cocktail menu rather than just wine and bubbles. They accomodated our request. It just took time like it was unexpected request. Offering a welcome toast or coffee for dessert or setting up a station with the desserts would be a nice addition to add value. There was nothing wrong. There was just nothing wow for $250 check. This was for two guests- 3 cocktails, 2 buffets and service charge. We do appreciate not having to cook and the team that worked the holiday so we could eat.
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving Brunch at Marriott Harbor Beach's Riva Restaurant. The food was outstanding and there was quite a variety. The service was excellent and the view of the ocean was beautiful. My husband and I truly loved it and we recommend it for the future!
Variety of cuisine from which to choose, clean and pleasant environment, smooth vibe with live music
Brunch on the Beach was over the top amazing!! Taylor and her team at RIva knocked it out of the park!
We went there for Easter brunch. The food was really good but didn't feel like Easter. I thought they would have more fresh flowers and decorations everywhere. I wish it was more vibrant.
