S3 (Sun Surf Sand)

We loved everything about this place however it was very unfortunate that they were out of 2 of the 3 dishes we came specifically for.

From my first date nine years ago with my now husband to one of my bonus kid's birthday, S3 never disappoints! Their food and service are exceptional and the ocean view is ...well... breathtaking. If you haven't been, treat yourself and go!

Amazing experience, food and service were top notch. The value for what you get is fair as well, highly recommend S3.

Favorite drink removed from menu Bartenders seemed uninterested in trying to find something comparable Service was extremely slow even though there were only 4 other people at the bar. Use to be my favorite restaurant on Fort Lauderdale beach-sadly it no longer is!

I always eat at S3 when I visit Ft. Lauderdale. The freshest sushi around! Great options for rolls and nigiri and crudo as well as for the non sushi eaters in the group. LOVE this restaurant so much!

Bat service was outstanding food was just okay. The edamame is a must try!!!!! Waitress service outside was horrible and slow

Great anniversary celebration. Meals seems small for the cost and you have to order sides separately.

The short rib was excellent. Loved all the flavors. The New York steak was chewy. The asparagus and mash potatoes were ver good. The service was lacking. Had to keep asking for water. Plates for the salad.

S3 is a bit over hyped compared to the food and service received. The quality of the fish is great! But the flavors and options are not worth the hype here. For an average of $20 per 8p roll, I was hoping to be impressed and I was not. Do not consider order the steaks as they were not good. The service is not great and some of the staff were actually arguing with each other in front of our table. The noise level of the music makes it hear to talk to those at your table.

Was a bit disappointed. Been there before and had a much better experience. Last time was sat near the kitchen in a booth. This time was in the front near the maitre-de. Music was very loud. Chair was so low that the tabletop came up to our necks. Food all came out at once. Recipe was changed for Korean chicken bites. Last time the had sesame seeds and this time they didn't. Our waiter was good, but overall a disappointing experience.

Early arrival so cocktails in the bar. Dj rocking sunny beats that I guess Floridians enjoy. 630pm and so loud conversation was reduced to nods. Promoted that our table was ready, right on time, we were seated outside as I requested,I love the ocean breeze, although my friend was freezing by the third of our DELICIOUS tapas plate. REGINA, our server was super caring attentive kind... I can't say enough in praise for her looking out for our allergens and dietary needs. Place was packed and I never felt neglected by REGINA as she navigated her section and co workers with the skills of a service veteran. Get -fried Korean chicken Duck fat onion rings I'm New York City 30 year restaurant vet, and I highly recommend S3. Ask for Regina's section.

Had a very nice dinner celebrating our wedding anniversary. Promptly seated at an outdoor table as requested with reservation. Waiter explained the menu thoroughly. Drinks were very good and prices on par, although the smoked old fashion was a bit pricey for the amount of actual drink that you got compared to a regular old fashion. We had the bang bang shrimp for app. New York strip and filet with frites for dinner. All were very good. Steaks cooked to temp that was requested. Would def recommend.

Zoey was a fantastic waitress! Great personality and well-versed on the menu! The food was amazing! Compliments to the chef, as we loved the lobster ravioli!!

Food comes out at different times times but all the steak dishes came out and 15 minutes later the tomato Barrada came out  and five minutes after that the rice bowl with shrimp came out. I would think that steak would take way longer than shrimp and tomatoes. Everybody was done eating by the time the last two meals came out.

Simply outstanding. Every aspect of this dinner from the ambiance, to the service, to the meal was A+++. The food was spectacular with flavor and presentation. Thank you....will be back for sure!!! Highly recommended!!!
