Found this place on Trip advisor when I was in town for business. Looked like it would be a good place to try out. This is a Great place to go if you are in the mood for tasty food. I had their Wonton soup and Spring rolls for an appetizer. The soup was tasty and a large bowl of soup. Each chicken wonton was very good. The spring rolls were cooked just right along with the dipping sauce had the perfect amount of spice. My main course I had 2 sushi rolls. The Rainbow Dragon roll and the tempura tuna roll. Both were so good and each had 12 pieces. The presentation of the rolls was nice too. I couldn’t stop eating all the food it was so good. Service was fast, and very pleasant. I will come back here again and again.
The food was amazing I try a few recommendations and the tasted amazing. Even my husband that normally doesn't eat sushi, try it and loved it. The service is great, the food is timely cooked and beutifully presented. The ambiance is relaxed and family friendly, the music is good too. Our server was Shirley and we some of the things we ate were pai thai, uni shot, unagi cone, lava drop roll and tempura jb roll. We also tried the salmon with avocado and the salmon with cream cheese roll. Finally shrimp shumai and thai spring rolls
This is takeout sushi at a Japanese food store. Sushi was fresh and delicious and made up very quickly. I took some sake with it. Very convenient and tasty.

I popped into heart rock for a quick lunch before a movie at the nearby theatre. I'd seen their promotions/ads and it seemed a good option ... there's not much else open for lunch near the theatre. It's not terrible, but it's not very good either. The tempura was an impressive presentation ... plenty of veggies and the standard 2 shrimp ... but they were all encased in an armor or batter ... not at all the light and crispy tempura one expects ... it was so heavy that the batter eclipsed any flavor the veggies or shrimp may have had. The summer roll was light and fresh with plenty of leafy greens ... in face they were all you could taste ... the seafood was there but missing any flavor ... thank gosh for a very tasty duo of sauces for dipping. service was very kind and efficient, which is what earned them 3 stars instead of 2.
Oh, how majorly delish were all our dishes: Tom Kha soup w/veggies (including Bok Choy & Broccoli); Green Dragon Roll; Lobster Egg Roll; Spring Rolls... yummy to the max. Can't wait to try other options on my list via their wonderful menu... especially the 1/2 Duck & Lobster Roll, et al. Hostess was so kind to me, & brought water while I waited. But they left out my Bok Choy Tempura via the take-out bundles & don't have phone Msg. set up! OY ... will have to stop by tomorrow.
First visit and I'll be back. Delicious lunch. Really friendly staff, spacious dining room. Parking can be a challenge but other than that, I'll be back. Everything fresh and yummy. Very reasonable.

I love this place for happy hour. Five dollar sushi rolls. Lunch and dinner are great too. My husband and I go a couple times a month. We live in Victoria Park and it’s close. The staff are very nice to us. Always have a great experience.
So disappointed in this place. A homeless person came in with money to buy food. I was told they won’t wait on her because she wouldn’t tip. I was going to buy her dinner and I did so they fed here. Having lived in the Asian culture I was a bit surprised as they respect elders about all else. She was clean and tidy and well spoken. Had I not committed to pay for this lady’s food I would have left. I have eaten here for my last time.

It used to be a good restaurant. Since there is a new owner, the food doesn't taste anything, I have tried and tried and keep being disappointed. Once the avocado used in my sushi were brown! The salmon looked and smell old. The people are rude and can't handle critics. If you order online, they can't honor the time delivery even if you order 3h before. Don't go there, don't eat there, don't order food delivery from this restaurant.
Not fancy but straight to the point. Delicious and well price. Worth the walk or drive! Very good background music! Thanks!
Happy hour available 3-6:30. Sushi was fresh and spice on dinners was as ordered. Great customer service and friendly wait staff. We will be back.
What a wonderful experience. We enjoyed a several items off the Happy Hour Menu. The sashimi ( white tuna, creamy salmon, and wahoo) were fresh n amazing. I also ordered a roll without rice and no problem see pic for how amazing it looked and tasted The Bok Choy fried was delicate and melted in ur mouth not greasy at all. I was accommodated with some. Every to snack on without any complaint or charge. The staff are patient and kind. Prices are worth it. Also Happy Hour Merlot yum
Sadly has suffered, perhaps because of pandemic, perhaps poor management. I’ve been going to Heart Rock for over a decade and can say the luster is gone. Had to ask to for someone to take our order, there was concussion over who it would be. Lukewarm Thom Kha, had to ask for it to be warmed, watered down sake, very forgettable friend tofu. The hand rolls and sushi were good. There were enough people in the restaurant which led me to believe they were thriving, but it was really a poor effort. There was a final super nice and hard working server who saved the night. Had it not been for him And the Guys preparing the sushi, I would give HR sushi one star. We won’t be going back. Oh...and what is with the super loud music in most sushi/Thai places. It doesn’t add to ambience at all.
