Mateo is the absolute best server ever! The service is top notch as well as the food and ambiance.

One of my favorite spots when I visit Fort Lauderdale. Always fresh & delicious. Very tasty sushi, fried rice, & roasted brussel sprouts. Food is always seasoned nicely and never too salty. The Ube Cheeseake was delicious. The most delectable dessert I've had in a long time. Service was excellent! There is a very welcoming & attentive service/staff throughout Takato. Will definitely return in the future.

Great bartender and bar service. Always love coming back to Takato when I'm in town either on personal or business travel.

Great food but subpar service. Other tables were getting checked on way more frequently than we were and it felt like every time we needed something we needed to flag down the waiter.

The food and drinks are so delicious! What an incredible dinner. I cannot wait to go back to Fort Lauderdale because I’m dying to go to this restaurant again!

If I could leave no star, I would. My boyfriend and I came in today for a late lunch and we left with no food and no customer service. To begin, I couldn't even tell you our servers name because when he came to the table all he said was "what can I get for you", we let it slide because we are both in the industry and we understand how a busy night goes. We received our drinks and one of them had a roach in it. We got a new drink and when the manager came by the table she tried to say "maybe it flew into the drink" even though it didn't have wings AND it was cut in half. We also let that slide and continued to order our food. Once we got our food, a few bites in we found a hair, and that was our last straw. We tipped our server for basically bringing us water (because we didn't drink our alcoholic beverages), solely because we are in the industry and we understand how kitchen mistakes can affect their tips. The manager offered nothing for our inconvenience, and seemed relieved when we said we were just going to leave. Overall horrible experience and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone!

A magical evening on Valentine’s Day with delicious food, great ambience and exemplary service. Thank you to all who made this evening one to remember, though it was a busy night out waiter did all he could and more along with the other staff at the restaurant.

Fantastic! Food was elegantly prepared, with nicely balanced flavors, and perfectly cooked. Ambiance was clean, hip, and music was at a volume that helped set a nice vibe but allowed for normal conversation. Staff was attentive yet not overbearing. Outdoor seating is raised above traffic level and provides nice view of the ocean.

Overhyped. We ordered all the apps to try out different things and it was all mid except for the tacos, tacos were delicious. Price not too bad but not worth it for the food. Good atmosphere and good service

Hottest sushi in Florida! Also try their Wagyu steaks and Korean style cooking. Freshest sushi I've ever had. Service is top and vibe is so good. Also good for families. This restaurant won't disappoint!!!
