This place got recommended to us at the Airbnb we were staying at. The atmosphere was great however that is where it ends. The food was very disappointing. My wife got the Pechuga De Pollo A La Parrilla Con Pico De Gallo and I got the Salmon A La Parrilla Con Vegetables. Neither entrée had any flavor. Maybe it was what we ordered but we have had much better elsewhere.

Had tickets to the concert so decided to give a try and they let us leave our car for a $15 parking fee instead of fighting the garage crowd at the same price. We dined outside street side on a perfect weather evening. I was interested in the pre fixe menu but my guest said it was too much food. I was told that the only way the offered pre fixe was by the table and all had to order so I went back to the menu. Ordered the same items as the pre fixe but now a higher price. Chiccarron appetizer was good but some pieces were fried too hard and near impossible to chew. Great flavor and dipping sauce though. The Lechon Asado was my main entree and it was good. Portion size was tasty but small but rice and beans filled up the plate. The Spanish Flan for dessert stole the show. Best I have ever had. Our host was great and our server excellent and attentive. Overall a nice alfresco experience. #stevensleavin

I don't recommend at all. The food looks good but only that and the attention is nothing to do with it.

Coming from a fellow waiter, Angie gave some of the best service I’ve had in a while. Came in with my girlfriend after being disappointed somewhere else, but Angie came through and really helped. The steak was great too

The food was really yummy. I started with a guacamole with Ahi tuna tartare appetizer. It came with banana chips, and the server suggested some Peruvian hot sauce...nice! For the main, I had the charred pork with onions (Lechon Asado), along with my favorite of the simple black beans and rice. The pork had a nice char and was very moist and not salty, as is the big mistake at a lot of places. I sinned with a final course of Flan...yowza! Not overly sweet and smooth as silk with that delicious caramelized flavor.I did not have a reservation, so I sat at the bar, which turned out fine. I was aghast, however, that in order to have the prix fixe menu for the Broward performing arts venue (yes, I had a ticket) that you had to be a couple...two or more people. Doesn't say that anywhere, and frankly, this doesn't make sense because there is a no sharing policy. At any rate, they told me that the gentleman server who proclaimed this emphatically was misinformed, and all are welcome, even solo diners.I wish the server had just apologized, but he was rather indignant. This was not a good way to experience The Chimney House. The server I had at the bar was excellent (Angie), and she made sure I had a great meal, and it was. ?On show nights, make a reservation....but me traveling from up north, I wanted to experience the Latin-fusion cuisine.

Just had lunch there. My friend had mahi tacos which looked really great. My choice of sandwich was not available so I settled for the Sandwich Cubano with the addition of french fries. The sandwich was tasty but it was the smallest Cuban sandwich I have ever seen in my life - barely bigger than my iphone. The french fries were dreadful and tasted like they had been cooked yesterday and heated up in the oven. We were the first customers of the day so they should have been fresh. When the bill came the $13 sandwich with the upgrade of french fries for $1.50 was posted as $15.50. I queried this with the waiter and he told me the sandwich was $14. On the way out I found a menu and checked that the price was actually the $13 that I thought. I informed our waiter of this and he shrugged and said the computer was messed up and made no offer to refund the overcharge. Disappointing. I saw other customers with full entrees for lunch and the plates looked good - shame that they can't get a sandwich right.
