Wonderful food and beer choices! We visited twice during our stay! The shrimp pizza is delicious! 🤤
The outdoor seating is beautiful and fun with a nice view of the beach. The live music was a nice touch. The food and service was great. Would definitely return
Why don't you guys listen to customer sentiment?? Nobody here came for overpriced cocktails and table service... Where is the exceptional beer selection? The local sours and ipas? Straight up who came here in this lovely park to drink prosecco? Is there any plan to restore any of it's previous charm or at least develop some charm of your own? You might not care but this is absolutely heartbreaking for locals.
I’ve rarely seen a place fall from grace as hard as this one has. As a transplant, I was lucky to experience what this place used to be, park and ocean.
But they’ve taken everything that was once happy, fun, and vibrant and turned it into a complete disappointment. The current version barely offers a tenth of the quality that the previous establishment provided.
They charge you the Service + you have to leave the 20% tip
100$ for 2 salads a beers waouh !!

A relaxed area, dog friendly with live music in the weekend. I had the tuna salad which is very good. Plastic cutlery could be replaced by regular ones, especially in a state park, to avoid too much waste. 4 beers + 1 sandwich + 1 salad is 94 USD. Too much IMO
Love bringing the dogs here.. Most relaxing bar in Fort

I really miss the old Park & Ocean vibe. The Grove has completely ruined what was once a fantastic spot. The service is painfully slow; I waited 40 minutes just to get two beers, which is just unacceptable. On top of that, they don’t offer any vegan or vegetarian options, which feels out of touch. Park & Ocean was my favorite place for a reason—it had a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere and great options for everyone. This new version just doesn’t live up to what it replaced

Been a great place for 1/2 a century. Under new management now but a great place to spend the day.

This is one of our favorite stops. We take the water Taxi here. We enjoy the music on the weekends. We can move back and forth between here and the beach with ease. Plus the park is fantastic and has a lot of history. Food is good, but it is bar food.

It’s no park & ocean. Disappointing experience. Expensive and automatic 20% gratuity added. Stale chips and subpar food. Don’t waste your money. Just another beach restaurant where you are paying for the location only. Do not expect good food.

Park and Ocean used to be our spot! It was a hidden gem in over commercialized Fort Lauderdale. Fresh food, local beers, friendly staff. We could hang there all day sipping on drinks and nibbling on good bites. We have tried to give The Grove a chance. Several times. And though it may look very similar at first glance, the vibe is gone. Its feels cold and uninviting. The menu looks impressive but we have yet to have anything that’s really that great. The wait staff with their name tags and iPads , feels more like a Chillis than beach bar. I read the article that the new management was going to make the much needed upgrades. What are those upgrades and when will it happen? We’ve only seen downgrades.

I came here with my sister and kids. Perfect place for after the beach or a Sunday afternoon. Everything was really good. We tried the grove burger with fries, nuggets, and grilled chicken salad. 10/10 recommended

Read some pretty terrible reviews, here's my 2 cents..
Came on a Friday afternoon around 4pm with a couple friends and my dog. YES they are still dog friendly, even have a bowl and water station for them.
Before we even fully sat down we had a lovely waitress come by to see what we needed. Got water and menus, so yes they are doing table service. We did have to get up to see what beers were on tap but were offered samples before we committed! Unfortunately no happy hour.
Food is good, not mind blowing. I had the turkey BLT with chips and enjoyed all of it, my friends had no complaints.
Yes they do add the 20% on the bill automatically but it's what I would have tipped anyway so didn't bother me.
Yes they have the "side path" closed off, I don't know why and didn't ask.
The sign with the $2 is for the state park, it's the same fee if you walk/ bike in at the main gate, I'm glad they're enforcing it as it's a beautiful park that is well deserving.
Yes there was live music and he was great!
I miss Park and Ocean too, been going for years, but the grill isn't too different and I hope y'all can still come and enjoy the park.... and ocean... and maybe pop in for a bite.

A perfect example of what happens when greedy, out of state corporations enact hostile takeovers of local mom & pop places. Jacked up prices, employee uniforms, a sterile atmosphere devoid of character and terrible food. BEWARE: they don't pay a living wage so they make locals pay by adding a 20% service charge to your bill. Greedy corporations ruin everything.
