Awesome little venue! Had a great time. Great beer prices and selection. I liked that you had the ability to step outside for a smoke with no issue getting back inside.

The Hideaway opened in 2017 in the historic 1913 Bryan Building located on the National Register of Historic Places. The building was built by Thomas Bryan after a 1912 fire in Ft. Lauderdale. It is the least altered building from that time period in Ft. Lauderdale. At various times the building housed a post office, bank, hotel, law office, and dry goods store to name just a few of the buildings past tenants. Current tenant is The Hideaway, a speakeasy bar serving cocktails, craft beers, whiskey and a rotating menu of food. The Hideaway has embraced the historic nature of the building and they have even uncovered the original columns made out of Dade County Pine. Further rounding out the period vibe is pressed tin ceilings, period furniture, and a cozy lounge. The bar is made out of a work bench and factory conveyor belt. We came in for a stop on a Game of Thrones themed bar crawl. I instantly fell in love with the history of this building. I love that The Hideaway chose to pay homage to Ft. Lauderdale's past. After sitting in the inviting lounge area we discovered the back room where they had taken pictures of people from the crawl and turned them into The faceless men from the House of Black and White. They also hung up a giant Stark Banner. Not so cool was when one of the employees in their eagerness to clean up tossed out my drink when I placed it down for a second to take a picture. A simple hey is this anyone's drink? would have been nice. Still had a fun time here and would definitely come back.

Great place to go when visiting Las Olas, they have great Music with DJ's and the Drinks are really good! Bottles here are not that expensive either like in Miami. Definitely a spot to party with the crew.

Needless to say my first visit here I had way too much fun and ended up losing my hat..so I thought. I called the next Thursday they were opened and they had my hat... it just made me so happy and I'll definitely come back. They seem to hold on to lost items and don't just keep them or throw them away. And I loved the bar tenders they are fast and on point.
