The House on the River

Liz was really attentive. The restaurant was beautiful and clean. Our food was delicious. Amazing experience all around.

Delightful brunch and enjoyable menu items. The croissant sandwich is fresh and light with the right amount of filling. We've had the green goddess salad with shrimp in the past and it's always a hit. The omelet is generous. Good service and no one rushing you. It's a great way to spend a Sunday morning .

The experience that my wife and I experienced at The House on the River was phenomenal. The staff and management were super attentive and made sure everything was perfect. Our server Jolie was awesome and so accommodating. The food was on point and well worth every penny. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone looking for a great meal and experience.

Made reservations for outside specifically for family reunion event/brunch. Were seated on the inside-was not told they moved us prior to us arriving. Excellent waiter Food was good-smash burger was not disappointing

Our waiter was excellent. Good spirit, timely, efficient and prompt. This was our first experience at this restaurant. Lovely table river side. Fun and worth the adventure for a Sunday. We had the family style menu and it was just Ok at best. Will, go, back but try a la carte menu.

What a find! The ambiance sitting by the New River is unique for such a busy area of FT LAUDERDALE

We received great customer service. Our server Liz was excellent. She provided excellent service. She was friendly and knowledgeable about food and drink choices. The menu had a variety of choices. The food was excellent.

Absolutely amazing! The pre-fixed menu is a yes yes... Service was so good, place is nice and food was delicious!

Lovely place to dine people watch listen to birds and relax. I really enjoyed the photographer also. We bought 2 photos. Prices are good under $100 two people I had 1 mimosa🥂

We enjoyed visiting and dinning at House in the River. - service was slow. Our server had a large section and seemed a bit overwhelmed. The food was good and the atmosphere is top notch. We will visit again - not on Halloween 🎃

We've dined occasionally at House on the River in the two years since its opening and always been impressed by its charming and historical ambience with up-close views of the New River. Its Sunday brunch is among the best in South Florida, and dinners here are always well prepared, aesthetically beautiful, and delicious. Our most recent dinner here, however, showed the chef and kitchen staff have made another leap forward, serving us exquisite entrees. Pork chop and potatoes cooked and seasoned to perfection; melt in your mouth pasta dishes; and an incredibly fresh and fulsome Caesar salad with delectable grilled shrimp. Warm and delicious bread service accompanied our meal, along with a great red blend chosen from a varied wine list. We came expecting to be treated to a good meal but left knowing we had enjoyed a great one -- more incentive to return for one of Fort Lauderdale's most excellent dining experiences.

The restaurant itself was nice and cozy. We have been here before. The attentiveness of the server not so great. Had to wait for silverware after food was set. Refills of drinks were slow to come. We had to ask for refills. The food overall was ok. Specifically the steak and frites were lacking 4 small pieces of steak and fries for $49 in my opinion did not match the price. I had a glass of wine and was not offered another. This dinner was to celebrate an 18th birthday and if we were doing this over we would not have chosen this place.

The RiverHouse on the River has it all - great location and view, great ambience, great food and excellent service. Our server, Liz M, really made the experience one to remember.

Service was slow and we had to keep asking for things multiple times. We were also sat at a very small table for our party size.
